ali-amajjoute I'm blown away by this movie , It is just spectacular , Everything about it feels so real , it tells the eternal story of love from a general , yet very precise and focused way . through these amazing characters , who you relate to very quickly , as u believe they would exist in reality . all the details and the transitions in the lovers relationships are captured so well . not only that , but the movie actually explains the motivations and the reasons behind their actions. and it suggests the most effective ways to get through the hard parts. the movie is shot beautifully , with a very settle and penetrative musical score , and great great performances by all the actors . The message of the movie is really important , and it is told in a very creative way in the end of the movie , through a sort of a smart twist.
ayte-26151 The past weekend, I saw the Egyptian movie Hepta. Hepta is originally a novel. It was definitely a movie to remember. The novel was written by the psychologist Mohammad Sadek. He named his novel "Hepta" which is a Greek word means seven. "Hepta" represents the seven stages of love. The movie talked about four characters of people with different ages. The four characters went through the stages of love. The movie was a lecture by psychologist Mohamed Sadek. The stages of love are: The beginning, Craziness, Dream, Promise, Truth, Resistance and The better life. Each case lived through different stages, but not all of them reached the seventh stage. First case was twelve years old, he lived the beginning and craziness stages. The beginning stage defines someone is being in need of someone else to feel safe and comfortable talking to him/her. Craziness stage is the best stage of all seven stages because each one is doing unexpected things to make his/her lover. They try to make each other happy and gain more of his/her admiration. The second case was eighteen years old, he lived the dream and the promise stages .In Dream stage, everyone is hoping to stay with his/her lover forever and achieve their goals together. Promise stage when they give promises, but they are not sure if they are going to keep these promises. The third case was twenty three years old, he lived the truth and the resistance stages. The truth stage is when they realize that their partner isn't perfect. They realize that every one of them has weaknesses. Then they choose to continue with these defects or not .If they choose to continue that's when the resistance stage comes. All three cases failed to achieve Hepta or to reach perfection of love. The fourth case was thirty five years old, he lived all the seven stages and succeeded to reach Hepta. He was able to beat all the obstacles he faced with his lover. In my opinion, the movie is really descriptive and has moral meanings. It explains love easily to deliver its message to the audience. Love is patient, forgiving, and honest. There are many examples supporting my position: first example, in a scene, one of the cases was trying to suicide because he was broken heart. He saw a girl dancing on the top of a building. When he saw her, he changed his mind and went to talk to her. Momentarily he loved her and asked her to get married. I liked their acting because they stood on the edge of a balcony and both of them didn't get scared. That is what the writer called craziness love. Also the music was emotional and consistent with the scenes. The second example: One of the cases had a surgery on his back and was so scared. He was alone and his parents were dead so his girlfriend was the only one there for him. Acting in this scene is good because the surgery was dangerous while his girlfriend was the only hope and support for him. She always talks and supports trying to make him forget his pain, as she can't take it away. The script is well written because of the situations and dialogues. The girl had exams, however she was always there for him even if she can't visit him at the hospital. She skips classes to be with him in the hospital supporting and caring for him. The elements make the viewers live in characters' situations in the movie and bring up unexpected obstacles for the partners. In conclusion, Hepta represents the perfection of love in which each one complete the defects of his/her partner. In love people get crazy, fail, resist and succeed. The four cases of the study were one person went through all seven stages of love during his life. The elements of the movie were descriptive and well presented to engage the audience. Acting, directing, script and musical score were all done professionally to catch the viewers' attention.
mohlut1995 I personally think this movie is one of best dramatic arabic movies ever made , it has very great story full of emotions . the most impressing thing in this movie is the real life stories and problems you always face in relationships , and the morals it contains . I gave it 9/10 rating , it should have been 10\10 , but i did not feel the true emotions in most scenes , some actors are not doing well at all , this movie idea and story could have been legendary if they put more work on it. I believe its story deserves an Oscar and that's why i rated it 9/10 , but the acting and scenes could have been much better. They should re film it with higher budget , the story and the idea deserves much better than that .
fadi I was encouraged by so many friends to watch the movie, but to my surprise the movie lacked almost everything. There was nothing special about neither the story, the directing, the script, the acting, the photography, nor the music. The story was dedicated to promote a shallow, primitive and predetermined point of view rather than inviting the mind to think.I walked out of the movie in the middle of it. In my opinion the movie is "primitive" on all levels. To make my judgment fair, I did not try to compare the movie to any of the great movies in the history of world cinema but to some of the good ones in the early Egyptian cinema times. For those who really enjoy and appreciate a good movie, I highly doubt that you will find the movie entertaining or any good. Not recommended.
