Chance Rush Just watched Hectic Knife and it is everything you would expect from a Troma distributed movie... It was cheesy awesome and hilarious... Gore, martial arts, intense fighting scenes, EPIC bagel scene, and a final fight that keeps you on the edge of your seat... Okay, well it did have an epic bagel scene... This was a low budget movie done so incredibly right.
Leofwine_draca HECTIC KNIFE is a wannabe art-house thriller, shot in a cheap black and white style that robs the film of impact. It's an indie movie about a vigilante who takes to the streets to fight for justice only to find himself running afoul of a super villain with murder in mind. There's little here to enjoy, just a whole bunch of extraneous character dialogue and attempts at humour that constantly fall flat.
Nicholas Charles Loved how this movie was filmed in black and white, this movie brings out the spirit in independent filmmaking.Hectic Knife was very well written & directed. In my opinion this is a must see for any independent movie lovers. Looking forward to see more work from Greg Deliso!
Addison This movie is a whole lot of stupid fun!I've had the pleasure of seeing it in theaters twice and chatted with director Greg DeLiso and lead actor Peter Litvin afterward. They're a real cool couple of guys and I highly recommend their hilarious gory goofy Troma movie! The fourth wall is shattered on multiple occasions (clearly rubber prop knives are used during fights and the characters even comment on how fake they are); one character randomly breaks into song toward the end of the movie; dumb jokes are repeated over and over again; the hero gets his ass kicked in almost every fight scene that he's in, but like a cartoon, his broken bones are miraculously healed in the very next scene; a fight scene with bagels lasts way longer than it should to the point of hilarious insanity; etc. I could go on and on! If you like the style and humor of David Wain, Mel Brooks and Troma…then you'll love Hectic Knife!
