I'm not going to lie and say this was great, but I ended up enjoying it. I guess it probably has a low enough rating for me to consider it a guilty pleasure. I can see why some people wouldn't like it. It's mostly because it probably is too long and the special effects with the CGI aren't that good. It's the longest Japanese Godzilla movie ever! Right from the get go, we get tons of action and explosions! I guess you could compare it to some of Michael Bay's less awful films. This movie features tons of old Godzilla monsters appearing and fighting him.We even delve more into the Godzilla mythology as we analyze exactly why Godzilla can be regarded as both a villain and a hero in this medium. The best part is probably when we get a cameo by none other than the 1998 American Godzilla! He's beaten in a minute, a mockery of that dumb movie. Luckily the 2014 film was much better. The humans, or should I say mutants contribute well as we get some nice fight scenes with them and the aliens. Dang, why'd they have to have Godzilla's son in this? ***

A huge monster named Monster X is released. The world seems doomed until a jailed Captain Douglas Morgan(Don Frye)recommends waking up Godzilla from his sleep at the South Pole. For so many years Godzilla spent his energy destroying portions of the world; now he will be enticed to defeat his old foes and the new Monster X to save earth.Subtitled in English. Kudos to director Ryhuei Kitamura and Keith Emerson for the music. Special effects need to be awesome and are. Also in the cast: Masahiro Matsuoka, Rei Kikukawa, Akira Takaranda, Kazuki Kitmura and Maki Mizuno.

Even hardcore Godzilla fans will have a hard time swallowing "Godzilla: Final Wars". Sure there are plenty of monsters in the film, but none of them have any presence and aside from a few monsters, they have very little screen time overall. Some monsters appear for less than five minutes, only to display how "Awesome" Godzilla is when he effortlessly blows them away. Really, what's the point? This isn't going to win the big guy any new fans, and old fans won't be seeing anything new, since this is a retread of "Destroy all Monsters". The dialog is very bad, the characters are cliché and the story is lazy. Despite the good special effects and large roster of monsters, this is one of the worst entries in the series because while it really just feels like a 13 year old played one of the "Godzilla" fighting games, drew his own "most awesome Godzilla story ever" and turned it into a film (Dvd, March 2012)
