Indian adaptation of Christopher Nolan's memento. The film starts of with the actor Suriya(Ghajini) having temporary memory loss. Actress Nayantara's role is redundant in the film. Asin was good as the lead actress in the film. The ending kinda gets janky. Overall of this film rating 7/10.

The original Tamil version of Ghajini was inspired by the American film Memento, which itself was adapted from the short story Memento Mori. The film stars Guy Pearce as Leonard Shelby, a former insurance fraud investigator searching for the man he believes raped and killed his wife during a burglary. Leonard suffers from interrogate amnesia, which he contracted from severe head trauma during the attack on his wife. Certain concepts like writing notes behind instant Polaroid photographs and tattooing facts on his body were inspired by the film. According to Aamir Khan, "Ghajini is not a remake or even slightly inspired by Memento, but it's a remake of the Tamil film, Ghajini

Sanjay Singhaniya forgets his memory every 15 minutes (Something like that) but some how he has been able to compile vast amounts of research and been able to track down the people responsible for the murder of his girlfriend, Kalpana and his memory loss...Jiah Khan plays a medical student who follows Sanjay, for what? I have no idea! I haven't watched a Bollywood film in years, but I remember the promotional work was quite enticing for this movie, so I thought I'd watch it..I found myself skipping an entire hour of the films so-called back-story...First of all, I'm bored of saying it is a copy of a Hollywood film (Memento) so I won't...The film has huge plot holes that are too numerous to name for example how is he able to fight so well if he forgets everything...and the concept of Sanjay being communications tycoon before was far-fetched....and then you have the acting..Jiah Khan and Asin are just awful.. the comedy is so painful. But one thing I hated above all was the random love story..it did not fit..I understand the reason..but it was not executed properly. And then we have the so-called epic 'Fight scenes' which are not very good at all.Apart from the song 'Guzarish' there was nothing else I liked.

Ghajini is an entertainer. It has loads of action, comedy, drama and romance which makes it a family packed entertainer. The story is good.Screenplay is penned very well. But the problem is that the movie is long,it could have been trimmed 15-20 minutes and the movie even gets violent at times, which could have been shortened.Direction by A.R Murugadass is excellent. The music is very good.Performance wise-Aamir Khan is menacing. He is superb.Newcomer Asin is very good.Jiah Khan is perfect.Pradeep Rawat is first rate.Overall Ghajini is an entertainer.
