quridley David DeCoteau is one of my favorite low budget directors because he tries to bring class, beauty and a little camp to all of his genre work. This is your typical Full Moon on paper: few locations, tiny cast, almost no action or gore or sex. But DeCoteau keeps the pace breezy, the performances endearing and the cinematography splendid. He's directed some of the best Full Moon films and helped develop the best parts of its brand style. This is a Frankenstein movie for teen girls, but its well-made and enjoyable for everyone. There's even a little gay subtext to make it more interesting (another DeCoteau touch).
jacobjohntaylor1 This is a very good monster movie. It is best on one of the best horror books ever written. So it has to be good. This is a Frankenstein remake. It not has good has the 1931 version. But it is better then the 1910 version. It is very scary. It the mean character is Doctor Frankenstein's niece. It is a great family movie. It is also very scary. But not very violent. It might have pg rating. The story line is great. It is about how Doctor Frankenstein creates the monster. The acting is great. The special effects are great. It does say true to the book some what. It is a very good movie. See it if you get the chance. Jaason Simmons is a great actor. Haven Burton is a great actress. Ethan Wilde is a great actor.
Caz1964 Like the previous reviewer i bought this film for a laugh and was expecting the film to be really cheesy, bad acting etc and to an extent it was but not as much as i had hoped the funny points were---- 1,The girl Anna who was staying with her uncle Victor was definitely older than 13.2,Uncle Victor and his assistant both have annoyingly long hair which keeps getting in their faces and feels like it is getting in yours as well.3,Uncle Victor and assistant look like they belong in a porno movie.4,The girl Anna was not the slightest bit shocked by her uncles experiment of making a monster.5,Now wait for it {this is the really amusing part}Anna is not in any way frightened by the monster and calls him friend, and wants him to do the same.Despite the fact he has already killed someone.6,In front of the castle is a big sign worded Frankenstein which looks really cheesy and isn't set firmly in the ground, because it wobbles. The film is what i expected more or less and is good for a nights viewing over some wine or beers as its guaranteed to raise a few laughs all though not intentionally.
ebandito Since there are no comments on this movie at this time, and not even five votes I thought i should make my first comments ever on IMDB on this movie. First, it wasn't as bad as I thought. I got this movie for 3 bucks at a video rental store and since I enjoy a real stinker, I thought that it would be good for a laugh. Well, it wasn't as bad as I hoped for, but since it was entertaining I watched it. As you would probably expect considering that the actors whose names were displayed prominently on the back were from such fine shows such as Saved By the Bell and Baywatch--the acting was pretty bad. Actually, really bad. And the long flowing hair on the Dr. Frankestein was annoying. And the makeup on Frankenstein. However, you cannot totally ruin a story that is as good as Frankenstein, so I would say that this movie will make you laugh at some parts you weren't supposed to, and pretty much keep you entertained. After all, isn't that what a movie is supposed to do? I give it a 6/10
