xnet95 Here we have the story of 4 millionaires getting back together for the sole purpose of making more millions - oh boy, how inspirational! The only person here that seems to think of music as art is Buckingham, but by the end, he's also obsessed with money and profit. I really don't understand why they would let people see them like this. This video makes them look like soulless, greedy losers. The worst of the 4 is Nicks. During her 1st entrance, we see her bring in a huge dream catcher. This allows us to see how trendy and faux-spiritual she is. She was probably one of the 1st people to stop eating gluten a couple years ago. Anyway, we are "blessed" throughout the whole video by hearing her drone on endlessly while singing her new, boring songs. Her vocal range is about 5 notes, and she never pushes her voice like she did back in the mid-seventies. I can see why South Park ripped on her for sounding like a bleating goat - her voice is lame, boring, and lazy. Not only is her voice lazy, but the big, fat slob also has a lazy body. This chick needs to lay off the deep fried twinkies immediately! Last, but not least, we see Nicks allowing her little, foo-foo dog to run around on the kitchen counter where food is prepared and eaten. I wonder if it licked the potato salad and rubbed its ass on the bean sprout sandwiches? If this doesn't prove that this woman is a spoiled, self-centered, disgusting creep, nothing does! Most of the video was shot with existing light, so it looks murky and unprofessional. The band looks even more unprofessional with all the bickering and talking about money, money, money. The band comes across as a bunch of boring, old farts that are totally out of touch with new music. Even Nicks comments about needing to make music that young people will like because they are the ones that spend money, BUT they totally fail to do that. Instead, they make useless, boring, safe music that is product and not art. Watching this video really depressed me...
natyjude I am a huge Fleetwood Mac fan and "Destiny Rules" is an awesome documentary on the band. It was raw, it was honest, and it was so intriguing watching these four band members interact with one another after so many years. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham still rock!! To be able to watch one of the most influential rock 'n' roll bands in the process of their ingenious work is quite provocative and alluring all at the same time. I recommend this film to anyone who is not only a fan but who can appreciate an in-depth look into the creative process of making a rock 'n' roll album. The directors did an amazing job capturing the band at its purest. I am interested to see what these two directors will do next.
