Kirpianuscus The fans of action movies. or fans of actors. because it is one of many films with precise target. fight, revenge, fire, decent performances and a love story. not only predictable. but ...strange. not for story, not for less credibility of many scenes but for the eccentric idea to give a role - perfect for a younger Bruce Willis- to Josh Duhamel who seems out of his character almost scene by scene. the second problem is the role of ...Bruce Willis . except few punches, he plays, in good way, an almost blank character. Vincent Onofrio , looking as Truman Capote, is one of few good pillars of this mixture of different levels of revenge plan. so, a film for fans.
adonis98-743-186503 A fireman takes an unexpected course of action when a man whom he's been ordered to testify against, after being held up at a local convenience store, threatens him. Fire with Fire is another low point at Bruce Willis career but also a poor excuse of a movie as a whole since even with a terrific and talented cast like that the movie still remains a waste of time. 50 Cent has a small cameo that wasn't needed, Josh Duhamel throwing up while trying to interrogate someone and D'Onorfio as a Nazi crime boss that doesn't sell good at all. Overall stick with a better Willis movie!!!
blanche-2 Bruce Willis could easily have played the hero in this preposterous film, "Fire with Fire," from 2012. Instead, he takes phone calls while Josh Duhamel has all the fun.Duhamel plays a firefighter, Jeremy Coleman, who witnesses a brutal double shooting in a convenience store. The killer is the notorious David Hagan (Vincent D'Onofrio), whom the police have been trying to get for years. He usually leaves a lot of dead bodies as witnesses. Since Jeremy escpaed, the police are desperate to have him testify. They put him in witness protection. In witness protection, he falls in love with Talia (Rosario Dawson), one of the people in charge of him. Somehow his whereabouts are found, and the next step will be to separate him and Talia as both are in terrible danger. As with many of these types of films, there's not much in the way of reality. Normally I don't care about that if it's fast-moving and exciting. But this really stretched the bounds of credibility and just wasn't that good. People involved in a horrible fire that is explosive, all encompassing, and three people are untouched? Rosario Dawson coughed once. It also was very upsetting as it looked like 9/11.The other thing was Josh Duhamel, after being pummeled in every part of his body, pounded, and screaming in pain was able to walk around just fine - not even a limp. Didn't even move slowly. Insane.Bruce Willis had nothing to do, so I can't comment on his acting. Josh Duhamel is a little too lightweight for me, although he's attractive and sincere. Vincent D'Onofrio has long been a fantastic actor. He's magnificent here, even though the bad guys in this film were so mean they were almost comic book types. No redeeming qualities. Julian McMahon from Nip/Tuck has a small role. You can easily skip this one.
TheDennisBergkampFan This is the feature film directorial debut of David Barrett. I hope to God that he did not direct another movie. Everything about the movie is cringe-worthy. I love myself a , villain gets the living s@*t kicked out of him, type of movie but this one is not it. This one is just cringe-worthy.The cast might sound like a who's who of cinema but none of them actually bothered to show up. Bruce Willis phones in a five minute role probably as a personal favor to the producer 50 Cent. With Vincent D'Onofrio you never know whether it is actually him or he got his wax replica to substitute for him. This one is the latter. Josh Duhamel has a face tailor-made for wax museums. As if there were not enough cringe-worthy actors the Director decided to add Vinny Jones and Rosario Dawson to the mix. There is this one scene in which Duhamel is trying to break into a location owned by the villain D'Onofrio. He cuts the chain on the door making sure that it does not make any noise lest it alerts the villains cronies. Then he lets the door close behind him with a bang. *facepalm*.It's so badly directed that it is laughable. The dialogues are so cringe-worthy that they make you want to mute the television and read the subtitles instead. Horrible. Cringe-worthy. An embarrassment to movie-making. With these type of revenge movies you generally wish that the villain meets with a horrible end and the lovers meet in the end and live together happily thereafter. In this one you wish that everyone associated with the movie meets a horrible end for wasting your 90 minutes. No redeeming features whatsoever.
