This is a very cheesy campy slasher film from the 80s that grabs some viewers attention. although this film has no value, and no thought out plot, theirs is still somethings to like. the pace is tame it doesn't rush into the film, it takes time, to get to the sequence, the music is pretty suspenseful. one bad thing that actually makes the movie good is the really bad dialog that that makes the movie laughable and enjoyable all at the same time. this film surely is not perfect but it makes for a great, movie to get some good jumps and laughs out of.

While Final Exam isn't on my top favorite list of 80's slashers, it definitely comes close and is a pretty fun movie to watch. This one doesn't really try to have much of a story and keeps it as a simple slasher movie. And while there is a beauty to that simplicity, I feel the movie would have had more meat and more success if there was a stronger plot. But nonetheless, its a pretty decent slasher flick. You spend a lot of time with the characters, so your actually invested when they die. But it wasn't so much character development, but rather random chit chat and events. The cast was a bit too large and would of been better if they focused on just a small group of friends. It was also obviously influenced by Halloween and retains a lot of the same atmosphere. Overall, it could of been better, but is still a fun slasher for any slasher fan. I would recommend it.

This isn't your typical slasher. It contains some pretty amusing character development, and unintentionally hilarious quotable lines. Watch for a young Tom Cruise as an extra in the classroom scene in the beginning.Highlights from the killer include kicking a victim in the balls, using the dumbwaiter(sp)/conveyor belt as an elevator, and catching an arrow out of the air and stabbing the person who shot it at him with it.Don't expect a Kubrick here, but it's a real gem hidden among a genre of garbage. Wildman, Radish, Frat Stud Gary, you live on in our hearts. The lack of a motive from the killer makes the film even better. Also, the terrorist frat prank is a brilliant touch.

An unnecessary, severely clichéd early 80's slasher film that tries a bit (to evoke the atmosphere of Carpenter's HALLOWEEN, with a lurk, stalk & slash routine) but really misses most marks. Most likely the only slasher flick out there in which we learn absolutely nothing (nada, niente, zippo) about the identity of the killer & his motives (except for maybe one very vague hint/speculation that gets casually mentioned in the film, with the one character saying it not even having a clue herself). The kills aren't anything to write home about, and those college kids just keep on yapping and nagging in far too many scenes. Only one girl (the blonde one) takes her cloths off near the end. Even the climactic chase scene isn't even worth it. All the questions remaining (Who? What? Why? How?) are actually the only aspect that distinguishes this by-the-numbers flick from other 80's slasher efforts. Strangely enough, I'll give it credit for that. Plus, I recommend watching this movie dubbed in French. It's more hilarious that way.
