I needn't go into a bunch movie land mumbo jumbo about this film I will say first, Eckhart whispering ala Southerland is totally out of place. The script is filled with cliché after cliché. specifically Libertino acting the innocent teenager is quite off putting. She fills the screen with the most insipid dialog through out the movie. Even the bad guys are like copies of every other spy movie produced--heavy handed, and bound to lose the fight. Both protagonists get shot, but amazingly recover sufficiently to work at discovering the traitor amongst the CIA who plotted with a corp CEO from Chicago. Of course he was from Chicago ending up in the streets of Antwerp. Even the sound track is not very encouraging being rather bland when compared to other more well done movie. Kill Bill comes to mind first. We have our requisite shoot out in the parking garage and a bomb which settle the movie ex machina style.Clearly, this movie was not made for the American market. It is an export product where the dialog can be made to more effectively reflect European tastes.

The daughter in this movie makes it almost impossible to watch. Such terrible acting and the character is both stupid and whiny. This could have been a decent movie (not that the plot makes a lot of sense), but wow I will never watch another movie with this actress in it.Eckhart is always good to watch and he does a good job of acting. His character does a good job of not strangling his own daughter for her stupidity and incessant whining.Lot of other plot holes and things that don't make a lot of sense. No explanation of why if the "bad guy" knew they were going to kill everybody involved that he would allow one of his agents to hire a CIA black ops agent. Plus the whole "let's be PC" thing with the boyfriend for the girl is just annoying.

The film starts out well, and the plot is not new but still holds your attention enough. The CIA getting into bed with big business is good and this works well throughout the film. The major problem that I have with this film is the acting and script of one of the major characters. This is the main protagonists daughter. By an hour in , I could not help but want her dead, and tortured or whatever would shut this whiny spoilt child up . It was ridiculous, and it really began to grate on me and put my off the film. If you can get past her acting and the fact that you do want the bad guys to finish her off, then it is not too bad a film and will quite happily entertain you for a hundred minutes or so.

The story premise is just one of the clichés, an experienced operative and his loved one get framed for something so they run while at the same time they try to uncover the truth. The movie's story builds it's case well enough by revealing details one at a time. But that's essentially it, there's nothing more that this movie offers. the action sequences are just standard action without anything special. The plot twists and ending are not strong enough. Those things makes it even harder for the movie to balance its cliché and predictable premise and plot. The acting is just below expectations, although I wouldn't say that it's bad. Aaron Eckhart can have his acting better here, though I think that it's the director's incapability to make him do so. Olga Kurylenko should really work on her expressions since she only presents the same face in almost all her scenes.
