This film had an amazing start and then things went kinda downfall i don't agree with the 0% on Rotten Tomatoes but still it was kinda disappointing too much stupid things going on i never seen a whole police department in a film being so 'Dirty' i mean common they send a whole goddamn army to kill Justin Timberlake. Also the film has a great cast that doesn't seem to care in order to use them well like Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey who they just come and goes. Anyways it had it's moments as a film and for sure it doesn't deserve all this bad reviews but i understand why tho....it's a good film for what it is i give it a 7.

Well, I was drawn in by the cast, like everyone else. I'll probably watch anything, no matter how many poor reviews it gets, if it's got both Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey in it. While the first half the movie was fine, somewhere around the middle, it began to falter. What had been a taut thriller began stretching disbelief, until the end of the movie, when it turns ridiculous. The climax, which was probably intended to thrill audiences instead seems to have simply annoyed them, with its over-the-top action sequences and clichéd ending.Certainly, there were aspects that did not work. However, despite all of the problems, I still found it tolerable. I doubt this this will ever be anyone favorite movie, but it was still watchable, and it's got Morgan Freeman in it. If that's enough for you, then I suggest you check this out.

It's a vehicle... but I'm not entirely sure for whom. This tells you two things you need to know about this film. Firstly, there are a couple of names from the wider entertainment field but they are either both so bad or so able that one cannot tell who the big draw is. Secondly, the film is sufficiently good to not have to worry about whether the lead is any good anyway. In the event both LL Cool J and Justin Timberlake are perfectly good. The film itself has the makings of an interesting hack-flick but David Burke has obviously got a sinister remit to concentrate on the stars more than the thing warrants. Almost as interesting as the story (which is just a cop-corruption action-thriller) is the tension between creating credible characters and fulfilling the production demands at large. Clearly Morgan Freeman is simply out to enjoy himself in all this, as is Kevin Spacey's scene-stealing wig. 5/10

"Edison Force" is the biggest direct-to-video release of the year. It definitely had some competition which includes "End Game" (With Cuba Gooding Jr. and James Woods), "The Big White" (With Robin Williams and Holly Hunter) and "Grilled". (With Ray Romano, Burt Reynolds, and Juilette Lewis) "Edison Force" is about Joshua (Timberlake) who is a journalist. He uncovers corruption in the police force. One of the most evil cops is Lazerov (McDermott). He tells his boss Moses (Freeman) and they team up with Wallace (Spacey) and Reigert, the D.A. (Cary Elwes) to blow the whistle. But Lazerov doesn't want the secret to come out and he tries to kill Joshua. What saves this movie is the acting. Timberlake is OK. Some of his line readings are terrible though. Freeman and Spacey put in their usual professional performances. Dylan McDermott is the standout. You wish he had more screen time. John Heard drops by and gives a boring role as the chief of police some energy. The action scenes are fun and exciting also. I almost forgot that LL Cool J was in it. He's so wooden and aloof, you forget he's in the movie. If you don't take it seriously, you'll have a good time with it.For more insanity, please visit: comeuppancereviews.com
