Wizard-8
I have to admit that I have seen so many movies, I can't remember if I saw the original "Dream a Little Dream" movie before watching this sequel. If I didn't, I suspect that I was not missing much judging from this movie. Being that this was made by the CineTel movie company, it comes as no surprise that the movie looks pretty cheap and tacky. However, the production values are just a minor quibble compared to the real problems in the movie. The script is pretty awful - the story feels very long and padded out to a ridiculous extreme. Curiously, the second half of the movie pretty much eliminates Corey Haim's character altogether, though this may have been intentional considering the private problems Haim was having even back then. There are also a number of unanswered questions, like how the bad guys found out about the magic sunglasses in the first place. And while the movie seems to have been aimed at the Coreys' youth audience, there are some elements in the story (violence, sexual material) that seem inappropriate for non-adults. The movie is more of a nightmare than anything else.

This was a case of a writer making a good comedy, and then at the last minute making it a sequel to a drama.. It was a good movie, that takes place years after the first, One might ask why Feldman was so much different, but in the first, Feldman's character Bobby Keller, wasn't Feldman.. If you watch you will see that Feldman (Bobby) was caught in a dream and Jason Robards, who played Coleman was inside Feldman's body (or Bobby Keller).. It made sense for Haim (Dinger) to be the way he was.. But this movie was clearly not a drama, and the story, or point that the first had tried to make you see was all lost in this movie.. There (like most comedies) was no message behind this story at all.. But, as a Feldman, Haim movie, it is worthy, and is a movie that should be seen by any fan.. The Corey's really can't screw up much in my opinion..

Warning may contain spoilers! Although this sequel to the 1989 hit has really no comparasin(I think i spelled that right!)to the original. Which was a body switch comedy(very popular storyline in the late 80's)this sequel is faithful enough I suppose. The story has a sexy con artist after a pair of spec's, one pair has the ability to make the wearer of the second pair, do his or her bidding. Of course they land in the hands of bobby and dinger which sets them in yet another adventure. Although the film box would have you beleave that this was loaded with nudity, it's not. which is good. mainly because there are so many "sequels" nowaday's that take that territory out of desperation, to get money, and fan recognition. defanintly worth a look.

You must watch this movie. People who put it down only did so because they were disappointed it wasn't really a sequel. The first one was a drama whereas this one is a comedy. It takes place five years after the first one.Coleman has died. Feldman's character has become super neat while Haim's character is still wild. The best parts of the film are Feldman and Lively's chemistry-very funny and great acting-and the appearance of Leo Rossi and the other guy from Haim's Fast Getaway films.
