I had high expectations -- I like the films of Frears. But this one just doesn't do it for me. The characters are walking stereotypes, and they are either saints or cartoon villains. The plot holes abound: for example, why the heart in the toilet at the beginning of the movie? I understand the need for the symbolism, but it is really contrived (where's the rest of the body... ?). The worst fault of the movie is that it sacrifices both realism and nuance in order to clumsily and gracelessly hammer home a political thesis. Please, please progressive filmmakers, don't make such manicheistic movies: I feel a tiny bit less left wing after having seen Dirty Pretty Things, as a reaction against its ham-fistedness and single- mindedness.

the movie is about a Nigerian refuge, and the general plot is awful, and we can't hear a damn thing what they say due to their bad accent. the acting was somewhat good. the sound was good, but the soundtrack was awful. the clipping could have been done better. if you want to waste 110 minutes of your life go ahead. i do not recommend this move cause it was awful to watch and it is very hard to follow what is happening in the plot. and a lot of the actors/actresses speak so awful English that it is hard to understand the dialoge without subtitles. it is a truly awful movie and i would not watch this movie if i get paid to watch it. waste your life if you want to, but i recommend not to watch it.

Dirty pretty things, i think that this movie is pretty interesting, I've never seen a movie that's even close to this. The movie is based around immigrant who lives in London(illegally). He works in a hotel and one day he discovers something , well lets just say interesting. The acting in this movie is okay, I've seen better. To be honest i didn't really feel connected any of the characters. I actually really like the story itself, its a great concept for a movie. But again the acting is a bit meh. What i actually really like about this movie is in some scenes the music and sound effects are spot on. This might just be me but i watched the movie without subtitle's, and in some parts of the movie i had problems understanding what the actors was saying. But overall i would say the movie is okay.

Dirty pretty things is about a medical student who has two jobs in some way. He works as a cabby and front desk in Baltic hotel. He discovers an unusual thing happen in room 510. Things don't go so well when his friend shenay. She is a Muslim who works as chambermaid at the hotel. She dreams of living in New York and she goes through a lot to achieve that dream. She receives a visit from immigration service. Both of them are illegal immigrants. Okwe's boss Juan is in a business that performs illegal surgeries and Okwe has no choice but to be part it just so he can be legalized in the U.K.My opinion: this movie was bad and i didn't like it. its just my opinion. it was a slow paced movie and it took time for me to get into it. they were so many unnecessary scenes too. don't worst your time on this movie like i did. what
