Synopsis

All set to enjoy their day off, three high school friends, Yukino, Asako, and Natsu, board a seemingly normal train... when suddenly, a deafening sound and a flash of light envelop them!....But the three arrive at school the next day as if nothing happened. And yet, something is not right....They see oddly familiar faces, their families are out of sync and they are chased by strange men in black. Plagued by these nightmarish sensations, Yukino flees, only to find herself in front of the amusement park they were heading to on that fateful train ride. Slumping to the ground, Yukino comes to a strange realization....They are stuck between nightmare and reality, between the walls of two worlds that are closing in on them. But which world is real...?!"

EVOL666 HIDESHI HINO HORROR THEATER: DEATH TRAINThree schoolgirls are injures in a train-wreck. After their recovery-the girls return to their normal activities and all seems well, until the girls start having strange visions and other weird and unexplainable experiences-including confusion with their memories and being chased by a group of zombie-like weirdos. It seems that the girls are caught in some sort of waking nightmare where things are rarely as they seem...Yet another decent entry in the HIDESHI HINO HORROR THEATER mini-series. DEATH TRAIN starts off a little slow-but builds into a satisfyingly claustrophobic and paranoid little chiller. There are a also a few splattery scenes and some genuinely creepy moments in this one.  At this point I've seen all six of the short-films, and with the exception of OCCULT DETECTIVES CLUB-I would recommend the entire series. Each film has a decidedly different feel-and I think most horror fans will find some enjoyment in at least one-if not several of the off-beat entries. Too bad they only made six of these-id really be interested to see more. 7.5/10
