Synopsis

Handsome silver spoon Texan Trevor Forrest can't always control his tendencies to flirt and gamble, even on honeymoon cruise to Tahiti with Lindsey Ross Forrest, which may compromise their business ambitions. The ship captain asks FBI agent Gwen Merced, on cruise, to investigate discretely when Trevor goes missing, probably fallen or pushed overboard as blood traces are found. It's unclear whether the Hungarian business trio Luka, Max and Ben are innocent flirtatious gamblers like Trevor or criminals, but others have hidden agendas too.

Stojan Majdic The movie actually positively surprised me. Seeing the rating I expected a lot less than it actually delivered. OK, the movie still isn't exactly the best. The highlight of the movie is Summer Glau, who managed to portray the confused, but still very rationally acting bride excellently. The movie might not be the best, but she did an awesome job, probably saving the whole movie. Besides her, I enjoyed the performance of Zoe McLellan, while Chris Carmack did a very poor job in the movie. It's clear that Lindsey didn't plan what happened on the ship, but after it happened, she tried to get the best out of it. I believe that she actually loved her cheating husband. ***SPOILERS***Quite a few clichés in the movie – bad guys again the ones from Eastern Europe (are there no bad guys in US?), the ship's captain doing everything and anything to keep the affair away from public, an FBI agent on leave but she's immediately in operation (and she's, what a surprise, divorced) and so on. Under the balcony on which everything happened there were no lifeboats. How come that the camera ended in a lifeboat? Did Lindsey hide it there? She would have to be extremely stupid to do so. She'd probably just toss it into the sea, gone forever. But, in the end … quite enjoyable little less than 90 minutes. I've seen a lot of worse movies and rating of 4,6 is too low for my taste. But I admit, that it's definitely not everyone's taste.
wes-connors After an opening news correspondent foreshadows doom, we find handsome Chris Carmack (as Trevor Forrest) and sexy Summer Glau (as Lindsey Ross) going on a luxury honeymoon cruise. The couple does so much partying, nobody can figure out how an unfortunate tragedy occurred. Gambling, sex, and drugs are involved. Also keep an eye on three mysterious Hungarian men. Conveniently aboard ship is nicely-figured divorcée and vacationing FBI agent Zoe McLellan (as Gwen Merced), who tries to solve the case. Attractive ship security officer Erik Palladino (as Alan Sherrick) is also involved...This "Lifetime" TV movie begins with the disclaimer: "The following story is fictional and does not depict any actual person or events." Producers apparently passed on the real story rights, or couldn't make a financial deal with the families involved. This story is very similar to the case of George and Jennifer Smith, who played out their tragedy on cruise ship in 2005. The story became a US TV favorite, with FOX "News" correspondent Greta Van Susteren leading the charge; she even brought her FOX crew to tour the bloody ship. This version seems plausible to a point, and Ms. Glau is convincingly cagey.***** Deadly Honeymoon (4/25/10) Paul Shapiro ~ Summer Glau, Chris Carmack, Zoe McLellan, Erik Palladino
info-6175 I have seen a few movies and TV-series that stars Summer Glau, Terminator: The Sarah Connor chronicles, Serenity and The Cape. She does a terrific job with all of these character. And even in this low-budget movie she does a good character, but the problem does not seem to be Summer, but rather the male actor she is playing against. He is very 2 dimensional, there is no natural charm, no feelings expressed in the face and he seem to nervous and too rushed to get into character. I understand that this is a very low budget film, but even the directing and script is on par with such a low budget movie. I just wish the male actor was someone else, it would have risen the movie to another level.4/10 because of a good enough script and Summer Glau's performance.
edwagreen Exciting, intriguing drama. A young couple wed with all the picture taking, happiness and a future laced with love. For their honeymoon, they embark on a cruise to Tahiti. It is on the trip that tragedy ensues. Our perfect couple were not perfect at all. Destiny played a hand that they would meet up with 3 ruthless guys. Everything seems to play into the hands of the real killer or killers. There is even an attempt at extortion on the part of the killer against the Cruise Line. This is a story of immaturity, greed, and a well-conceived plan by the killer to get away with this. There are sidebar stories such as a possible romance between a vacationing female divorced FBI agent and one of the captain's crew. This film will keep you guessing, but you should get it by the snide sneers of the killer.
