OJT Deadly compulsion is a psycho killer crime movie after the novel om Bo Norgren with a quite original start, where we get to know some of the thoughts and drives of the killer and his first victim, before we are sent directly to a unpleasant dinner speech where the killer explains his troubles to the entire family. A speech which isn't the easiest to forget. Before he gives his celebrating mother jewelry taken from his first victim. Then we also follow the police i their hunt for what obviously is a sick man, and a potential psycho killer. The sick killer, Andreas Persson, man has a needle in his brain, poisoning and torturing him with morbid fantasies and an urge to kill, as well as to videotape his ill-doings. The start of a serial killer which is bound to start off his killing spree. When he finally commits a murder, it's not perfect, and there is a witness. What later feels like a perfect witness, who is drawn into a deadly cat and mouse game.Michael Persbrandt does a good job depicting the troubled psycho killer Andreas Persson. We are used to see him in a role as a cop or detective, but this time it's a killer he portrays. This film is way better than it's rating, but the first half is better than the latter. The film manages to be interesting, and exciting even though we know who the killer and what his game is. Well done, and well worth a watch. One of the better Swedish crime movies I've seen.
alpha-12 I just have to say that Mikael Parsbrandt is probably the best Swedish actor around today. All actors should watch this film and learn. Good plot, good acting and above an excellent direction. 10 out of 10. This film will give you shivers down your spine.
Per Rosenberg This film was very very good!Mikael Persbrandt's acting in this film was brilliant, so was the acting by Stefan Sauk also. Persbrandt's portray of a psycopat is one of the best I have ever seen. The film was cool shooted and very suspenseful. I can't understand that this film's user rate was 4,9... But maybe you gotta like psycological movies to like this one, anyway, I give it 8,2 out of 10. See it right now!
Alf-23 Nothing good can be said about this film. Bad direction, bad acting, bad story, bad photo, and the use of video camera are a very bad idea. The pictures are just awful. It may look good on TV, but not on a screen. To all the film makers I just want to say this. Use film to make films! 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, or 70mm. The choice is free, but let video be used for video. Do something else and don't waste your time with this one.
