KILLER YACHT PARTY is a would-be indie slasher flick about a party on a boat that gets out of hand, leading to mucho death and destruction, but it turns out to be one of those ultra-slow films with barely any kind of death or horror content in it. The fact that Troma distributed it is always a bad sign, and this is pretty much as bad as an indie gets. It plays out as a character-based mystery with a derivative story and dull script. There are a few genre tropes added to the mix but this is mostly about treading water.

Thank god for Troma giving D-list actors, writers, and directors a chance to have their work seen. I have no evidence that more than 29 people have seen this film, and they were all probably in it!. It was made in 2006, but just released this year.It was almost an hour before the first killing. You can imagine the struggle to stay focused until then. No, the usual stuff that you expect in a Troma film was not present. It was just talk, talk, talk.I am not going to say this is the worst I have seen, but it is easy to see why it has not been released until this year. The burning question in my mind is, "Why did you do it?"
