adonis98-743-186503 Pierre Niemans faces the threat of the apocalypse while investigating a series of ritual murders. Jean Reno returns in this straight to DVD sequel of The Crimson Rivers where he faces a new type of murderer this time a whole army of people dressed in black flying around in super markets killing people and of course jumping threw glass doors. Christopher Lee also makes an appearance in a small role that expands the plot of the movie just like the first film this is an underrated movie with a lot of action but also of blood although the first one was better in mystery this one is better in the type of action, villains and the Opening Titles Theme is pretty haunting this is a great movie don't buy the reviews on this one also no dubbing voice for once.
ivo-cobra8 I can't believe how people criticizes this movie. I can't believe you people! This movie is awesome. The first movie is the best one sure, but this one is also great movie too. It has apocalyptic cult who are making ritual murders supernatural killers, religious church i am catholic my self, great movie. I read awful reviews on IMDb I can't believe how can they say bad things to a sequel to a great movie.I bought this movie on DVD and i don't regret it at all. I only wish i could got the first one too. Crimson Rivers 2: Angels of the Apocalypse (Les rivières pourpres II - Les anges de l'apocalypse) It is about ritual murders from monks called them self's Angels of the Apocalypse they think the new world will open with the book, great actors and great movie. It could be a little better like was the first one but whatever. It is good movie and i also noticed that you did not just rent this movie bad you also rent the first movie poorly too. You people have really bad taste in movies, shame on you. Les rivières pourpres II it has also Jean Reno in it i am so glad he is in it and i love this movie and i am not listening to you I am listening to my self. I am giving it 10 stars for awesome European movie. Great job! I also love movies like are ritual murders this one is the only one i remember right now. It reminds me on The Name of the Rose with Sean Connery and Christan Slater and From Hell i love these movies about ritual murders. 10 stars.
lastliberal I have a thing for Jean Reno. Ever since I saw him in Godzilla, I have been searching for his films. This is the completion of Crimson Rivers, and it is great. No, it won't win any awards, but it's enough to see Reno as Commissionar Niemans again, strongly supported by Benoît Magimel (The Piano Player, The Child of the Night), Camille Natta, and the ever evil Christopher Lee (Wicker Man, Lord of the Rings).Lots of blood and a weird story based on end times and a book supposed written in God's hand. Heads roll, people are nailed, and monks fly through the sir. Fantasy? Oui. Reno est magnifique. C'est tout ce des sujets à moi.
Libretio CRIMSON RIVERS II: ANGELS OF THE APOCALYPSE (Les Rivières Pourpres II: Les Anges de l'Apocalypse) Aspect ratio: 2.39:1Sound formats: Dolby Digital / DTSWhilst investigating a bizarre murder inside an ancient monastery, two detectives (Jean Reno and Benoît Magimel) stumble on a series of killings related to a mysterious cult and its charismatic leader (Christopher Lee).Olivier Dahan's stylish sequel sacrifices the original film's emotional content for a series of intense set-pieces, which mutes the intended effect. The visceral impact is formidable, and the Gothic visuals are a treat, but it fails to work on anything but the most superficial level, and Reno seems to be coasting on auto-pilot. Magimot is one of France's sexiest and most talented young actors, and he steals the film from his high-profile co-stars, though Lee is given little to do, and his presence fails to ignite the expected sparks. Excellent makeup and visual effects.(French dialogue)
