I made the mistake of watching this movie a few years ago, and I felt I had to write this review to state that even this may be a flattering film for Christian people, but as a feature film, this is a bad one. The filmmaking is shameful, made by a guy who seems to only have seen bad films. The story may be interesting, but the shots, the acting, the music, the editing... Everything is cheap in this film. Maybe the director was too busy directing himself instead of being in his spot watching the monitors. Definitely not a multi-task dude. I must say I laughed a lot when the main character "dances" with(out) his daughter. It's not just a campy, tacky thing that you would do alone by yourself when no one's watching and make sure to not show it to the world - It's also they way it is actually shot. Do yourself a favour and avoid this film. If you believe in a deity, go to the church instead and do your share of good deeds. If you like watching good films, watch others, there are a bunch of them, believe me. I reckon the effort, but they should have got a higher budget to hire a better director, a better cast and a better crew. I only recommend this movie if you want to know how a bad film looks like, whether it's Christian-themed or not. Nobody is going to remember this film after a few years.

The movie starts its story strongly with the short action sequence and a great revelation scene to it. Like most other Christian movies it then builds up it's story with multiple characters, developing on their own unique conflicts. There are also the nice touch in the character introduction and acquaintances. The main message is strongly conveyed through the mentioning of the dire statistics about being fatherless in the US. And personally the condition doesn't appear in the US alone but also everywhere else around the world. The acting side is just common to Christian movies, being not the very strong aspect of this movie. But then again, it's not the acting, it's not even the story that's the strong point of these kind of movies, but instead the message of the main theme, which does inspire believers to be more of God's men in the world.

G'day All, Firstly, we are sometimes quick to judge or condemn others for bad acting, or bad movies, Try being in their shoes and do better. They are NOT professional actors. They are church members trying to convey a message to the viewing public of God's message to others. I liked the movie and hit home for me as being a former soldier on the front line, plus being an X bike club member so I know what they are going through. Give them a fair go or don't condemn or say they are bad acting. TRY to do better yourself. I've bought the other 3 DVD movies that this church has put together so that "we" may understand what they are trying to say to our hearts in all the underlying message from these movies. Good on you Sherwood Pictures, and keep up the great work. Kev.

This film is without a doubt my favourite Christian film of all time. Its funny, sad, emotional, moving and inspiring and I would recommend it to everyone! :)With great actors and an amazing script this film is great to watch as a family or with friends. As a teenager I found it helpful and I have watched it again and again. If you haven't seen any of the other Sherwood Picture films I would highly recommend them as well.If you enjoyed New Hope(with Ben Davies!)then you will love this too (also with Ben Davies!!!!).As I said before I would recommend this to everyone and I think every teenager and father should watch it.
