Martin Lawrence and Raven Samone have fun making a movie while we suffer in College Road trip.Watching College road trip will leave you asking yourself many questions. Are teenagers really that retarded? What the hell is Donnie Osmond doing in this movie? What is happening to the world?College road trip is a family comedy,of course. Are those usually good? Rarely anymore. But College road trip isn't like any other family comedy. It's worse. I maybe laughed five times throughout this movie.Martin Lawrence plays an overprotective cop/dad. When his daughter Melanie(played by Raven Samone) is going off to Georgetown University, which destroys the plan that he had for her. So when she goes to Washington D.C. for a meeting, her dad decides to go with her. Which leads to a hell of a lot of clichés.The predictability of this movie is disgusting. The lack of laughs is also. The cheesiness and the poor dialogue is also. And the lack of fun involved is sad. Martin Lawrence is always likable, and so is Raven Samone. But stooping to this level of Disney comedy is sad. There are very few enjoyable scenes in this movie. One is when they are in a car with Donnie Osmond and they sing a lot. This is a movie that makes teenage girls look like stupid bimbos.I know it's a family comedy, but that is no point to make a movie so bad. I don't hate this movie. I loathe it.College Road trip: D+

My word, this movie is horrible. I love martin Lawrence so decided to watch this, but this is poor. It's so hideously glossy and American (sorry) and perfect. It's like disneys vision of the world is so perfect, the 3 girls are perfectly interracial (1 black, 1 White, 1 Chinese), they live is this big beautiful house and her friend has a wonderful shiny new car etc, it's horrible. The sound effects are also poor, the police siren falling down the hill bit, pig snorts, tazer gun, there's loads. I've also got no idea who this girl is, but from the way she just busts out in song on a bus I'm guessing she's from some horrible Disney TV series, with lots of singing. I guess the whole role model thing works for young women etc and there's morals involved, which is good. But the movie is rats

What a very bland movie, I know it was a live-action Disney movie but by half way through the movie I just wanted to shut it off. So how come did I rate it a 6/10? The last 30 minutes of the movie (not the last fifteen but the fifteen minutes before it.) There's one sequence that will literally move you to tears. The score is amazing, the timing is just right and it'll surely make up for the dull movie. Without that sequence, I probably would've rated it a 3/10. I know they try to make it appealing to kids, but if it the movie was more serious then I say we could've had a great movie. If you're looking for a good Disney film, then I say skip it. But, if your a father to daughter(s), I say see it - a lot of fathers can relate to this (although the movie is highly over exaggerated.) For a rather dull movie, it does have a lot of heart.

This movie was so wonderfully refreshing. Martin shined. He is such a wonderful comedian. All of the cast was excellent...I totally enjoyed Donny Osmond. Dads really needed this...As I mom...I witnessed first hand my hubby struggling to let go. This movie would have helped that poor man tremendously....smile...and me too...because he almost drove me crazy!!...smile....I especially appreciated the diversity in this movie...nearly every people group was represented. Raven is so talented, and the little brother is was so cute...The pig, halariuos, and Martin's wife is one funny lady. She is new to me, but I laughed just as hard when she was featured in Reno 911 and also curve your enthusiam....This movie made me happy and belly laugh out loud...Thanks Disney for recognizing the talent of all of the cast. There is bonus footage at the end that will crack you up!cjEureka www.cjeureka.com
