A girl selling cookies is brought into a house and killed. Christina and her young brother Bobby come home from school into the same house. They live there with their father James Tarling. Their mother is in a nearby asylum. Eddy Duncan is Christina's boyfriend and Karen is her friend. Howie Rhodes is the handyman repairing the house. Sheriff Mark Sklar investigates the missing girl. This is a cross between a murder mystery and a killer horror. It's flawed in both genre but it has an intriguing premise. The opening could lead to either a fine slasher movie or a fine whodunit. First, they need to hold on the house a bit longer. I had to rewind to ensure that both shots are the same house. The slasher part is not gory enough which limits its horror potential. The whodunit is undermined by the few possible suspects and the initial push for a monster in the attic. The potential never gets realized but it is interesting to contemplate.

Soon forgotten toned down Slasher flick starring Allison Lange. The movie is at the first half a whodunnit Slasher but it keeps giving the audience hints about who could be the killer. First, the jealous insecure boyfriend has some weird attitudes and even attacks Howie for no reason. Then, the father who is a pervert and looks at his daughter as a sexual object performs some actions that could make you think he's a loony. Then, we have Howie. The "pretty" boy who fixes the house but he really isn't a "normal" boy.If you haven't watched the movie give it a try; it's not as bad as people say but it's not a good movie by any means. The plot is kind of interesting but predictable. Almost all the death scenes are off-screen you can discard gore in this one.Overall this is the kind of movie to watch while you are doing "anything" else. For example, if you are chatting or talking over the phone with someone boring, , "Christina's House" may be the perfect option. Allison Lange is really beautiful and can act. She should appear in more important movies.

This movie was very bad. Do not rent it if you want to be scared, because you won't. Unless you're really easy to scare. It is so funny how the movie tries to trick you with all of these obvious suspects, ie: the dad, who likes his little girl a little too much; the boyfriend, who has a bad temper; and the carpenter, who is always just popping up out of nowhere. Christina's always scantily clad when they make her out to be very modest and doesn't want to have sex with her boyfriend. As if that's believable! And I love how on the cover the boyfriend is shown as being the main guy when Christina is pushed to the right of him. It is called CHRISTINA'S house, for god's sake! But I thought it was hilarious. It's my sense of humor though. So, if you don't think really lame obvious things are funny, don't listen to a word I say.

I don't write comments on most the movies since most of the comments from other users have justified the movie. But this one, most people just assumed that this is another "wannabe" horror flick (and at the time of this writing, users have given this movie average weight of around 3). In reality, it is far from it. I would say, it is above average. The movie is a little slow. All I can say without spoiling is that, the real twist is in the end. Trust me.There are no "big" actors in this movie and that doesn't make this movie a b-flick.8/10
