Harrison Tweed (Top Dawg)
I held off watching this film due to its low rating. Finally when I was bored and had nothing to watch, I gave it a go - and was very surprised how great this film is.I am shocked as to why this films score is so low. For starters, the all star cast performances where outstanding. The directing and cinematography was sheer perfection. The writing/screenplay so unique - especially the viewpoint from the Mastiff, and the sub-stories within the story that ultimately all come together at the end. I'm not a fan of slow paced films, but this one was an exception. Its 93 min length was perfect, and there was more than enough suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat, or engulfed in curiosity with the sub-stories to wonder where they will lead to. Even the score was perfect. Director-writer-producer Paul Solet hit this one out of the ball park. I was especially intrigued how he presented the reality of the lucrative underground fights that most of the public don't know exist. If you're thinking of watching this film - dog lover or not, ignore the reviews and watch it. It's a story told really well that shows two sides of humanity. I recommend it and will watch it again! A well deserved 9.5/10 rounded up to a 10/10. Now go see it!

Ok, my review title may be slightly tongue in cheek but you can see, after watching this movie, it would be a good way of pitching it to potential investors and distributors. In reality, it's nowhere near those classic films in terms of quality but it's a good watch nonetheless and could appeal to devotees of drama, crime or even horror. I wasn't expecting much but watched it purely because Malkovich's name was attached and at an hour and a half it wouldn't take up too much time. Looking at the synopsis: criminals in a warehouse after a failed heist, I thought, Tarantino rip off and indeed continued to think this after I started watching, particularly when they started exchanging conversations about supposed trivialities. But these trivial conversations all added up to a coherent whole and were well executed with flashbacks to the younger selves of the characters observed by their older selves. It has some great moments of suspense and with pretty much one setting and only four major characters, feels like a play, in a good way. I watched this for Malkovich, and he was class, as always but Brody does well as the nominal lead and Banderas adds presence and menace in a supporting but pivotal role. Rory Culkin would appear to be out of place here but also provides good support as a young junkie. If you're not expecting a masterpiece, this is an engaging film with an obviously heartfelt message from it's director.

Rating: 5-/10
"Bullet head" is an incredibly snubbed film of 2017, starring with the great Adrien Brody and the great John Malkovich, and the almost unknown director Paul Solet, who directed, before this, only two films that I have not yet seen, but they were not much appreciated by both critics and the public.
Honestly, the only reasons that led me to view this film are Malkovich and Brody who, in fact, together form, despite the poor characterization of the characters, an excellent couple that I would be happy to see maybe in a better quality film. Although I have to admit that it is not entirely to be thrown away, the direction is not bad, apart from the terrible first person sequences from the dog's point of view, Solet has done a great job in the memory scenes, I loved how he represented them . Unfortunately, if he did not stop as a director, he did it in the screenplay that not only offers bad dialogues but also tells a surreal and ridiculous story, the film starts telling something and ends up telling a completely different story. In the film there is also Antonio Banderas who plays the "bad guy" on duty, very shabby and without personality.

Don't worry about the low stars rated by Hollywood fans who just waited for some american action. Theres a big coctail of feelings here action, mystery, nostalgia, violence, suspense, love.. . Performances are good as expected from the actors, of course not winning performances neither. Not a typical american movie, but a good movie indeed, I would definetly recommend it.
