alovaloy The ending was unpredictable, and the best laughter for me. Overall, the movie was great. Mr. Tyler Perry did good, and came through..
Michael_Elliott Boo! A Madea Halloween (2016) 1/2 (out of 4)Brian (Tyler Perry) can't control or even say no to his 17-year-old daughter Tiffany (Diamond White) so he asks Madea (Perry) to sit with her while he goes out of town. Daddy is worried she will sneak off to a frat party, which she does and of course Madea must follow her.You have to respect Tyler for what he has accomplished in his career. I will admit that this here was my first Madea movie and I will admit that I hated it. In fact, it was one of the worst comedies that I've ever seen. At the same time, I can respect the fact that this film as well as other Madea movies are quite popular and Tyler at least gives his fans what they want. With that said, this is without question one of the worst comedies in recent memory. From what I've read this was filmed in six-days, which is rather remarkable for a film made today. What's so bad about this movie is that the screenplay is just so uneven and so unfunny. I mean, the final sequence is basically a bunch of young adults being terrified with rape. Yeah, real funny. The entire movie was one failed laugh after another and all of it can go back to the screenplay. There are scenes that just drag on for no apparent reason and then there are scenes where the "joke" just gets dragged out to the point where you wish you'd hear someone yell cut. I honestly laughed at maybe two things here and everything else was just so forced and juvenile.Again, I can respect that this series has its fans but I honestly can't see why. I'm not going to judge the entire series off of one movie but this didn't really make me want to check out others.
Becky Beo I was SO disappointed with this show. I have loved all of the Tyler Perry movies, until now. Seems he has gone downhill. This movie had more cussing in it than all of his other movies put together!!! What happened Tyler Perry? A movie doesn't have to have so much cussing in it to be good! This just seems so out of character compared to his other movies. :(
ntennell This is a typical Tyler Perry movie. Either you like it or you don't. His main focus is to entertain. To make you laugh and if he can slide in a life lesson or some "Ma'Dea" wisdom on the way, then so be it.Tyler Perry doesn't let you down with his many roles as Ma'Dea, Joe and Brian. Brian is in over his head with raising Tiffany as a single parent and when he tries to forbid her from going to a college fraternity's Halloween party, all hell breaks loose.Trying to win the approval of her friends, 17-year-old Tiffany sneaks out of the house to go to a Halloween bash at a fraternity anyway. The fun soon ends when police and the cranky, fast-talking Ma'Dea (Tyler Perry) arrive to crash the party. Unhappy with this sudden turn of events, the vengeful collegians decide to scare Ma'Dea and her cronies with a series of pranks. She soon finds herself under attack and on the run from an assortment of ghosts, ghouls and zombies on the scariest night of the year.If you want a good laugh this is your movie, but don't read too much into it as far as meaning, its pure entertainment.
