rebx-32422 This movie follows two small breweries: one facing a lawsuit and one just starting up. It's a great watch if you're into the craft beer scene. It's especially relevant if you've ever thought (or dreamed) about opening a brewery, or just wondered about what all might be behind opening one. The plights of these two breweries give viewers an in-depth look into two of the many issues than can arise. The filmmakers have also added some interesting interviews with some really well-known names within the industry. The interviews add some nice tidbits of craft beer knowledge. There are also some beautiful camera shots. Craft beer lovers, we have our movie.
Hiden-849-807215 What. A great story following some true entrepreneurs in the craft beer industry. Enough big box Brewers with a wholesale bucket of suds. Give me brews that people put their heart and soul into their creations. You can feel and taste the difference when someone put their blood Swea and Tears into. A real feel good underdog story. I'm really pulling of the guys by the end of the film. Wow. When you want a good story with true people and not some fake drama show with paid actors this is your film. The writers let you k so they are pulling for these towns and these local business pioneers on the new frontier that can and will rebuild this great country. Enough stand in line and by vanilla, give me some true originals and what they put their sweat into. We need more films like this instead of Hoolywood spit out a remake every six months of more of the same. How many times can a dinosaur attack!
gary-hersey I absolutely loved this documentary. It provides a fascinating primer on the craft beer industry and while following the lives of several young brewers who are bold/brave/stupid enough to follow their dreams against the odds. If you're even a tiny bit interested in beer, this is the movie for you. If you like feel-good uplifting documentaries, this is the movie for you. If you're that other reviewer "haggis" who really loves macro breweries and is easily offended, you should pick up yoga or marijuana or something because you seem disproportionately upset after watching a 71 minute documentary. Anyways, I can't recommend this highly enough. Check it out!
haggis-44796 This documentary depicts a single point of view production aimed toward the craft brewing market. In my opinion it is unfair, and inaccurate in the portrayal of the macro brewer. Leaving the viewer a bad taste in their mouth in regard to the macro brewery. There was an awful lot of whining leaving you to wonder why they are in the business at all. While I appreciated the story of the 3 young men in Pennsylvania, I am at a loss as to why they mentioned their brewer was an ex Anheuser Busch intern. I went into the viewing of this film expecting stories about start up of a micro breweries but instead I learned about the long drawn out details of one poorly prepared man's legal troubles and the aim to revive a town. Oh and lets not forget how wonderful Colorado and it's microbreweries are. I know nothing more now about start up of a micro brewery than I did prior to seeing this film. Overall not as advertised. But if you hate macro breweries you will love it!
