I recently stumbled upon this movie. Such a cute romantic comedy. I really enjoyed this light and airy film with well known stars and my personal favorite Harvey Spector currently from Suits. Great seeing him in a lesser known role from back in 2007. Love the storyline and sweet and comforting message on love and relationships. Diane Keaton always shines in every role she stars in, giving that extra edge to the film. It was a surprise to see Mandy Moore but a pleasant one at that. Loved the film so much that I purchased it off of Amazon after seeing it aired on Lifetime a Channel. This is a joyful film that inspires love and sweet romance, the importance of family, and good old fashioned home baking. I will enjoy this movies time and time again.

This movie is horrific. It was so hard to watch that it literally gave me a headache and the dialogue made me cringe. Diane Keaton's character is annoying, I believe that's where my headache stemmed from. Aside from the horrific plot and stale character interaction, a few other things really bothered me about this movie. Like the way the psychologist treated her patient, actually the way they portrayed the neurotic person in general was quite offensive, making him seen more like a nuisance than an actual ill patient. If anyone's "psychologist" would treat them the way she treated that patient in the scene where her sister came to her office as an "emergency" (I hardly think family drama qualifies as a work emergency, especially if you're going to ignore and condescend your patients. ) it would not be a comical situation as they made it seem in this film. It would be completely unprofessional, and just plain sad. It would make me wonder why the hell this person became a psych to begin with. Another thing that really got me was the fact that she chose the sensitive, struggling musician with the ADHD ODD child instead of the Well established architect. Which is fine, if she wants all that baggage then she can knock herself out. But what, she couldn't possibly end up with the guy her mother set her up with right? The wanna be rock star should have just minded his business, but then again I guess the movie would have been an even worse cliché and wouldn't have the slightest indication of a "plot twist" (not that he added much anyway). This movie just plain sucks. Don't watch it. I have watched movies that people have said this about, and thought they weren't THAT bad. But this Is quite possibly the worst movie of all time.

You will love the mother and the baking that goes on. The girls are lovely. My favorite part of the movie is when the girl is in Johnny's place and the bowl breaks. He says it's just an off day, there will be other better days. I love how the movie ends and I think there is value in seeing how the two men differ and who she chooses in the end.The mother has her own issues that get ironed out during the film. There is also a boy in the picture with one of the men making it a harder choice for her. And the other guy Has money. I like how tight the family is and how she finally chooses the right guy. You will feel good at the end.

I normally don't write reviews, but this movie was so bad I had to make it my mission. Unless you have some free time you don't care about wasting, please flip the channel. I'm currently recovering from a concussion so all I am able to do at the moment is watch movies. Watching this movie is more like trying to relive the rage you had with your own mother growing up. Acting is bad, cast is bad, script is bad, wardrobe is bad everything Is bad! I am really surprised that this horrendous movie only received one razzie award baffles me. Diane Keaton alone deserves a cpl of those. I don't understand the roles of the other two sisters as they bring absolutely nothing to the table.
