First I gave this an 8, but I was worn down in concession to give it a 10 realizing that I was being too in-the-box, and movies like this are so wildly ridiculous as to be genius. The Joker, Riddler and Penguin were superb, my personal favorite being Frank Gorshin as the Riddler. The shark scene in the beginning purposely sets the intended tone. There are some really subtle gags, if you pay attention, even a Pontius Pilate quotation... This film would absolutely have been a 0, except the weight of the cast, takes it over the fine line, as Napoleon said, "From the sublime to the ridiculous there is but one step."

So someone is reading this and saying "How could this camp masterpiece be funnier?" Simple: Julie Newmar. Lee Meriwether just doesn't have it as Catwoman. Neither did Earth Kitt. For the TV show there was only one Catwoman, Julie Newmar. So that's why this gets a 6.

This was an alright film as it makes you feel good about yourself and it makes you happy although it seemed a bit silly at some points.

Dear Film Lovers, This has probably been the most stupid movie that I have seen recently. I wished that at least I would have had a good laugh now and then, but I simply did not. More recent movies are more sophisticated and endowed with lots of special effects. This one was made in the year of 1966, that is, fifty-two years ago and it only had the technology that was available back then. Under these circumstances, I have expected that something was lying hidden somewhere at the root of this unending saga. There is nothing there. It is just a simple movie for little boys who want to chase bad guys under a stupid disguise. Please do not waste your time with this movie. Best Regards, DOBRESCU_Mihai.
