Synopsis

A journalist named Lee Custler (William Katt) is out jogging when a flying object passes behind him and crashes. Sheriff Joel Armstrong (Collin Brock) picks him up and they go to check it out. They find an abandoned caravan close to where the object crashed. As they discover the object and realize it is a spaceship, an Alien emerges. The Alien (resembling a giant spider with a lizard-like head and torso) then chases them, after which Lee flees to the car. However Armstrong makes a stand, trips, falls and is killed by the Alien that then leaves. A terrified Tammy finds Lee and they call the local authorities but their car is destroyed by the Alien.

krotkruton-447-902827 OK, technically there should be some high school film projects that are worse, but excluding those, this is the worst movie I've ever seen. It's probably because plot holes and continuity issues drive me crazy. If you can laugh at that kind of stuff, then you'll love this movie. The best part will be when everyone is in a forest, runs off in completely different directions, wanders aimlessly while being chased by monsters, and then all magically end up finding each other at the same time on the other end of the forest. Or when one guy decides he'll sacrifice himself to slow the monster down and buy the others some time, even though his sacrifice is completely unnecessary and doesn't slow the monster down at all.And that's not even getting started on the miserable acting, writing, and CGI. I guess the sets aren't bad and the music is OK, but that's about all the positives you'll find. This is the movie that I compare every other bad movie against.
movieman_kev It truly doesn't take much to be considered one of the 'better' Asylum movies, simply show a small amount of competence and you're well beyond the curve for most of this particular studio's output. But what truly disastrous, bottom of the barrel swill do you have to sink to to be seen as the worst of the Asylum?? This leads us into AVH.Starring William Katt as a journalist who stumbles onto an alien invasion, this movie is detestable in just about every conceivable way. Acting, plot, special effects and any semblance of anything even remotely reassembling entertainment value be damned. I'm sincerely worst for having subjected myself to this asinine claptrap (or is it crap trap) of a 'film'
keeld002-366-503558 This was so bad I was sick because of bad acting. computer generated imagery was obviously at the bottom of the list for equipment along with scripts, actors, directors and the set and were obviously beaten by the need for Dohnuts or something else a movie doesn't actually need. There is completely no realism in this film even when a giant ship crash lands in front of a cycler he doesn't even notice it. This film needs more of practically everything and every single copy should be destroyed with the original so it can never be shown again even on television. This film is so bad I need to make up a rating that will actually say the terror that I saw on the day. I give this movie a -10.
