Many other bands have played in Cuba. Off the top of my head, Billy Joel played in the Havana Jam in 1979. It is a common misconception, shared by even the New York Times (see the article by Peter Watrous dated 2/15/99). And another thing: the purpose of the embargo is not to isolate Cuba from the US, it is to stop aid to a sworn enemy of the USA. It is Cuba who blocks or censors any foreign influence. The embargo is used by Cuba to justify everything from infant mortality to the crumbling infrastructure of the country. In fact, the US government has allowed sales of food to Cuba to the tune of over a billion dollars in the last 5 years, the problem is that Cuba does not want to pay cash and is looking for monetary aid to keep a disastrous form of government afloat.

So I'm a big concert fan, I love going to them, but I love this DVD, its nice to be able to see them perform a great show with a lot of their best songs. not to mention you get to hear whats left of Rage Against The Machines play "Bulls On Parade" and you get to here Chris Cornell play a most amazing acoustic version of "Black Hole Sun" but you slowly start to notice that music and the singing gets a little bit sloppy around the end, but you have to keep in mind that they are playing for about 2 hours, so don't be to harsh around the end. I recommend the purchase to any Audioslave fan, or to someone who just likes a few songs, to me its a Concert that doesn't disappoint

Such fun. But kind of ruined with a so-so mix and some problems with the video here and there too. Don't bands always use the same people? Liked the Olympic Auditorium DVD a lot...still listen to it as it has such raw energy but still sounds great. Anyway, always a fan...but my high rating is for the band... not the actual DVD. sorry. I'm just a big fan of kickin' back and pretending like I'm there and it's not working for me.I can tell that the vibe of the concert when seen live must have been fun. I have to get off my booty and see more live concerts...since the DVD's are random in quality.I look forward to more from this band.

They are the explosive combination of the best parts of two of the most influential bands of the rock scene in the nineties. They made two great albums in three years (I honestly prefer the first but I like the other too) and they've been now the first rock band from the US to ever perform a show in Cuba! All I can say is: they're going to become legends just like Metallica did before!Chris Cornell's versatility as a singer is surprising after almost 20 years of career (he's 41 now...), and he stays my favorite cause no man on earth can sing like he does!!! The guys from R.A.T.M. are just as good as they've always been, with Tom Morello's exception, cause he improved his skills and refined his style, watching him messing with his guitar like only he can do is impressive! This is a must-see, even for those who don't like hard rock, cause this is not just a show, this is history!
