finbarstevens I don't usually comment on films but had to for this one. It is a truly appalling film, possibly the worst I have ever seen. I don't know how anyone can think otherwise. The acting really made me cringe, it gave you no real insight into Disney's life, and the script was full of awful 'follow your heart' clichés. I was laughing my head off through most of the woeful language. One of the standout worst bits was when Disney starts using cellular animation and does a scene with some wording which says 'your fired'. Really???? It's 'YOU'RE fired', idiots. I mean how could they not even check this grammar????? My advice: avoid the film at all costs!
Sephia Nicole 15 minutes in and I had to Google reviews of this film to make sure I wasn't going crazy in thinking this was HORRIBLE! The trailer made it look decent enough, but OMG I agree the acting is horrible, the dialogue is horrible, and it doesn't do Walt Disney justice in the slightest!Maybe they should thaw out Walt's brain to get a better movie, as this was pure madness. My 13yo could write, direct, and act a better movie than this! Not understanding why I am forced to write 10 lines for a review. If it stinks, then there isn't much more that needs to be said about it!
elizabethstadtmueller This film is horrific. Historically wrong, especially regarding religious agenda, and, as other reviewers have said, it does not make sense why a biopic of one of the most genius humans on the planet was this terribly made. Acting was dreadful, cinematography was dreadful, there are no saving graces. There are some terrible movies that are so ridiculous, or a particular actor saves it and it becomes a cult classic. This is not one of them. It is offensive to anyone who has studied Disney history and admires the man behind the mouse. To be specific rather then just opinionated the film does not address the problems Walt had with his father, does not convey the severity of his finances and money management, and throwing out quotes from Disney movies to make "inspirational" statements gets old incredibly quickly.
Jeremy Warning, only watch this movie if you can stomach really bad acting. The fact that IMDb gave this a 7.5 out of 10 will forever negate any credibility the rating has in my eyes. The storyline is fine, but the acting and dialog is terrible. I find it ironic that the story of the founder of a brand known for rich media and superb entertainment is portrayed in such a pitiful manner. I guess Disney didn't think it was worth the investment to do the film itself.I'm not sure I would even recommend this movie for Walt Disney fans. It does a good job with the story, but the acting may tarnish whatever reputation he has in your mind.
