Well am not gonna write an essay on this movie, it's just not worth it everything up to the idea behind the movie is way too messed up to sound even close to plausible..Celebrities illness sold to hardcore fans by the thousands, cloned celebrities meat (yeah meat) sold for some fancy disgusting looking restaurant or whatever.. really? so in middle of that kind of messed up ideas you have that guy, he looks as messed up as the story he's stuck in, always speaking as if he's on heavy sedation, whispering horribly (hard to catch everything he says even)..no matter what happen to him you can't feel any sympathy for him, or anyone in the movie for that matter.. you just look at them and hope for the movie to finish soon, there is no fancy twist in the plot or anything on the technical level the movie isn't all that bad even if it does look cheap (probably is a cheap budget anyway it doesn't really matter), but that's not the issue here...really just save yourself some time, skip this movie, and while am at it, the ending is terrible, doesn't make much sense, the way the hero recovers magically and whatever.. gah there is no end to this badness!

Syd March is a scientist whose job is to sell viruses taken from sick celebrities to sell to obsessed fans. He lives in a society of the future where the famous faces of celebrities are everything, all the time. It is also a disturbing world; Syd is disgusted to see cells taken from celebrities grown into human body parts and sold for eating. One day he is injected with a highly dangerous virus from the most famous celebrity, Hannah Geist, who has mysteriously died. Unknown to him he is suddenly very valuable amongst the Black Market system. This movie has elements of celebrity obsession gone too far and the disregard for human life. Syd is just another face in the crowd until he has Hannah's virus. The movie was filmed in the steel city of Ontario, Hamilton. It's a very shocking movie, at times a little hard to believe, but the acting was great and the cast members were a great choice. Syd also gets to meet Hannah, and sees that despite her fame she is trapped within it and very unhappy with her life. For an independent film is was very well-made. It's really worth watching.

This Film was Boring and i'm surprised i was even able to sit through all of it. The movie doesn't have much of a story and none of the characters are likable or memorable. The Movie actually starts up with a young man Sitting on a bench staring into the distance.(What a Dumb way to start your movie.) The actor who plays this main character is Caleb Landry Jones and quite frankly this guy did nothing for me. His acting wasn't bad but it wasn't good either and his character is rather flat and Boring not to mention weird. I'm sure people have established by this point that this Movie was not my cup of tea. I Like science fiction films but this Story was just unappealing to me. The story is a bunch of people work in this weird clinic its a company that purchases Viruses and other pathogens from celebrities that get sick and for some reason the people in this film want to buy the viruses and inject them into their bodies. These weird people apparently inject themselves with viruses because they want a "connection" with their Favourite Celebrity's. I'm sorry but this idea is simply STUPID and pointless. There is no point to anything in this film and all the characters act like weirdos and frankly i didn't care what happened to any of them not after they had been so stupid. For some reason everyone obsesses over this Girl called Hannah Geist shes a famous celebrity and when Hannah gets sick everyone wants to buy her pathogens, they all get harvested at the clinic and everyone wants some so they can inject themselves!!. I'm sorry but i have to say again this idea is Very stupid. so all these people are willing to make themselves Sick just to have a "connection" with Hannah Geist?.I have a solution that would be much easier than making yourself sick you can simply go out and get a GIRLFRIEND!.Doesn't that option seem much better than making yourself SICK!.of course it does because that's NORMAL which none of the characters are.I understand that this is a science fiction film, i Get that its not supposed to be realistic i GET that! but the characters were just plain stupid and demented that it made me wonder what the writer of this movie was thinking when he wrote the Script.I just didn't care for the script or the directing and as for the main character Syd all he does is spend the entire film walking around like an Old Man!,and i had no sympathy for him because i thought he was an idiot.I'm sorry but anyone who is stupid enough to inject themselves with a virus or pathogens deserves everything that happens to them.I don't feel sympathy for dumb people. I'm surprised that people even think this film is clever. there was nothing Clever about this film, it was different but that doesn't make it clever or good,I thought it was a Boring Mess of a film and as for Hannah Geist i didn't give a flying crap about her,i thought she had No personality and all she did in the film was lay in bed and cry or we'd see her face show up on a monitor a couple of times. she's a good looking Girl but i just found it Sad that everyone was so OBSESSED with her and i found it very weird. there is even a scene where people are at a restaurant eating meat which was grown from the cells of celebrities. this movie just has so many dumb and weird scenes that it becomes laughable at times.there is another scene where Syd is talking with this Fat man about Viruses and the two of them ending up fighting over a VIRUS! which is so STUPID!,and predictably what happens? Syd gets beaten up by the Fat man which i thought looked so LAUGHABLE.There is another scene later in the film where we see Syd yet again walking around like an OLD MAN!.I should probably mention this happens during the WHOLE MOVIE! we just see this pale guy walking around getting sicker and sicker and i'm thinking, why don't you GO Home AND GO TO BED! YOU MORON!.he's then approached by two men in suits and they tell Syd that he's coming with them and Syd didn't want to go but they "insisted" and said he had No Choice and Syd just walks outside with them!.he doesn't try to call for help he doesn't TRY to RUN or Try to FIGHT he just does as the men ask and gets into their car with them!!. what the hell did he do that for??. Is this supposed to be a science fiction Film or just a DUMB Soap Opera?. This film even feels like a Soap at times because most of the time you just have people walking around!. I hate Soaps! And i Hated this Film! it was Boring and it made no sense at times. two men are basically kidnapping the main Character and he does NOTHING And for some Reason There's (Nobody else around) Just like a Stupid Soap WOW how "conviniant". Give me a BREAK! this is a (MOVIE) not a SOAP,so the writer should write stuff that makes sense!. If i was being forced into a car by two men i'd call out for HELP or i'd try and RUN i wouldn't just willingly Go with my kidnappers! That's Stupid!. Then again even if he did call for help no one else would be around to help him.(No one being around) seems to be the new cliché now a days whenever something bad happens. This film was Lame and Stupid and forgettable so skip this BORING film and do yourselves a favour and watch a better film Like Gravity or Oblivion those are better science fiction films and they have better characters in them than anyone in this Laughable Film.

As I've seen thousands if films, I love to see something completely different. This is! It's a sci-fi horror drama thriller with inspirations from lots of other films, still this story is quite different from anything also.Imagine taking the best visuals of films like A clockwork orange, Ametican Psycho, 1984, Sliver, One flew over the coo-coos nest, Sleepng beauty, Blade runner and The host, combined with the best white movies of Michael Haneke (Amour, Funny games, The white ribbon) early Cronenberg movies like eXistenZ, Crash, Dead ringers, Scanners, Videodrome and Shivers, as well as inspiration from some great zombie movies. This film ticks the following boxes: stylish, pretty, cold, bloody, disgusting, beautiful, sexy, horrifying, sadistic, unexpected, satirical, cynic, innovative... I could go on. I found it very interesting, and kept my interest all way through. Clearly inspired by dad David Cronenberg, Brandon Cronenberg will be a gold mine for Canadian film making, as his father have been. Being his debut film, this is more interesting than most debut films I've seen."- I hope that people will see this film and think that I'm a genius. And they'll be right to think that! Hahahaha". This is a quite from "Anathomy of a virus", the making of Antiviral featured on the newly real eased DVD/Blu-Ray. Well, isn't he just right about that!?!Yeah, it's sick, disgusting and full of insane ideas, but still it puts things in a cynical perspective. Based on an idea which very few would have come up with, this is not for the faint of heart. Still, it's not worse than we know from this genre. It's still far from perfect. I'd like it to be longer (!) and to have a more pointed ending. But it's still worth praise for being different and fresh. It's challenging in more ways than one. You could watch it over and over, getting new thoughts. And I must say I'm not sure what to get out of it. But the stunning visuals, the perfect sterile environment, combined with the dirty rotten elements of a sick future world is fascinating. The slow use of steady am is beautiful, and the film is made on a small budget, giving tremendous value for money. The script is fresh writing, like what Hollywood should kill for these days. I think the acting is astonishing, especially from Caleb Landry Jones, which is electric and balances between super sexy, scary and disgusting. I think this role is really going to establish him as a character actor. The acting also from Malcolm McDowell and the rest of the cast is first class.I find the idea of extreme celebrity obsession getting out of hand, do much that we will do anything to disease ourselves with viruses from their bodies, and eat flesh and meat cloned from our obsessions is both sick and scary. I find it's not far from what we could imagine if possible. Imagine if you could get anything you want, even parts if the likes of Madonna, Michael Jackson or Neldon Mandela.Only for it's aesthetic, clinical, white, clean, sharp, and empty atmosphere the movie us astonishing, and combined with the filthy ideas and red and blackish blood and black suits which disgustingly enough makes the film quite sexy. It's also interesting that it is impossible to read into the film what's up next, but many will hate this for the same reasons I was fascinated. Not everyone will agree, and see beyond the gore and sick ideas. If you agree, you're in for a blast!
