dreist Just watched with great interest this film Fratter of Bergamo, one of the few good (and alas unjustly underrated by many) indie directors of the Italian circuit that exalts competently the so-called genre films. As I said already said elsewhere the 90 were very bland films in the production of films of this type and you have to wait until the mid-2000s to finally seeing a real proliferation, Fratter in my opinion for years that you were it was one of the precursors, or rather a continuing of what was being built at the turn of the sixties, seventies and eighties, bringing out competently the so-called genre films. One year after the release of "Thirst vampire" Fratter achieves this "Anabolyzer" also distributed to the movies, but not directly on home video, very different films and more bloody than the last, and no exaggeration to say (maybe) one with more gore and his entire film. This movie I liked above all the original setting of which everything revolves ie the gym, while about the plot than its first work is more customized and more direct, finally has a story, maybe not original but HAS a history and actors in recitative level in general I found them very valuable. To be reported as the last thing, that there are two versions of the film, which is the director's cut of the length of two hours, and the DVD version which lasts one hour and 35 minutes. I hold (unfortunately) the second version, and in truth I would have liked to see the director's cut that do not consider myself a broth lengthening rather an inclusion of other interesting scenes. For example, some gore scenes do not show too much detail or explicitly, or the occasional lesbian relationship between Monica and Lorna is shown in a sober ... .the director's cut for those who have been lucky enough to see it I like to imagine that overcomes these shortcomings and further delight the viewer. Patience, but already the DVD version there and then goes very well. In conclusion I liked it despite the imperfections due.

trashgang In my research I came beware that there were other gorefests around not coming out of Germany/Japan or the good old Us of A. Italy it came. So I suspected that it would be an extreme bloody one knowing already the Italian classics in the genre. Let me say that it is extremely hard to find this Italian spoken flick, lucky as I am I found a copy with subtitles. The plot is simple, a man married and having a gym falls in love with a girl in the gym. That girl's man has been given analyzers to start killing, but there is also an other killer running around. The first killer that appears is believable, the second to say the least is laughable. Let me be straight, Anabolyzer was advertise as gore, well, there isn't any gore involved. There is eye poking, and some acid thrown on a face but the effects are extremely low budget. The cutting is bad too, when the blood flows they always cuts to fast away to a next scene. The only gory shot that appears is at the last 3 minutes. The rest of the movie is all about posers and girls showing their hooters. I watched it in one take, and was still waiting for the gory moments that never came, be warned, take some analyzers to watch this more soft erotic flick than gorefest.
