Although redundant, I liked the plot of Brennan's character being pulled back to Wall Street, the challenge Lacey's character met with running the inn alone while finding a new distributor, and giving other characters room to grow. I would have liked to see the plot take a twist of maybe Jenny and Brian havig to defend ownership, etc. What I did not like was the ending. Why not allow the plot to develop to marriage instead of maybe another sequel? If that is the case, shame on you for putting money before the integrity of the plot. It left me just disappointed in everything except for the actors.

I liked the first one and was excited for this one. The first few minutes was good. I liked Jenny and Brian together but Jenny being all melodramatic and whiny when Brian goes away to try to earn money to support the B&B?! She starts off being worried that they might have bitten off more than they could chew and she said she was sensing Brian was starting to worry about money. Then she starts complaining when he goes away to work so they could have money. Then she asks him if he's sure about coming back when he finally quits work and comes back. Very irritating! Why did she have to come out as selfish and self-centered? This totally ruins it for me.

I loved the first movie and enjoyed this one too. Lacey and Brennan have chemistry which is a big reason why I like this movie. On to the BUT. I am a huge fan of the first movie and anxiously waited for the sequel. It was so disappointing that: the house is not the same (this was a big part of the first movie) the goats are not even similar, the first ones were all white and these are supposed to be the same goats, but they are mostly black.the country store and store keeper are different the diner is differentI am happy that they kept some of the original actors like Vern (Ed Asner), Casey, Rusty and Alice. But when you base a movie around opening a B&B and in the sequel the house is different it just doesn't make sense. I am sure there is a valid reason why the original house could not be used in the sequel but it was a big disappointment for me.

I love Lacey Chabert, so if I'm putting down a Hallmark movie with her in it, then it must be bad. This probably didn't deserve the stars I gave it.There is nothing new in this movie. It is practically the same old stuff as the first one, and much less well done. Scenes with Lacey and Brennen seemed rushed. No chemistry this time. Lara Gilchrist was either doe-eyed or tough witch. Vincent Gale was cliché. Other supporting actors tried. As far as story, at least they got Jenny's side business out of that tiny B&B kitchen into something a little more commercial. On the only plus side I can think of, several little side romances sprung up.Like my summary says: If you are going to do a sequel of a much loved movie, don't just do a rehash but give it a life of it's own.
