OK, so maybe if you're expecting a sci-fi movie you will find this to be more of a war movie I guess, but if you go with the premise, it's very well done and acted. Many have said this apparently but the ratings are relatively lower than I think they should be. Perhaps this is because there is a very narrow genre for this type of movie. Might be too realistic of a scenario for those that like fantasy sci-fi. Might be a bit more like what it would really be like to be invaded. Not much fun there really. If I had produced, directed, shot, or acted in this movie or even done the audio and music, I would be proud of it.

I was nervous going into the movie, as I heard mixed reviews on it. Was it perfect? No, of course not. But, the set and connections that you grow to some characters truly create an awesome environment! Only critique, I would say is the sound effects of the guns, as they seemed to lack that "boom" but, aside from minor CGI flaws, the movie was well produced. Would recommend.

After watching the movie in spite of the low score I felt compelled to write a review.Sorry about the expression but... What-The-Hell with the low score?. Is this for real?.I was expecting a pure-garbage shaky-cam non-stop-action with non- existent character development and/or story and I got all the above reversed!.Really, if you're trying to find out if this movie is good or not, read the reviews, don't believe the score.Alien Outpost starts a little slow but with solid character development, all the soldiers had their personalities and they are all lovable in their own way, you get to know them, the action sequences are not over- the-top and also very rare, aside from the final moments. This is a movie that focus almost entirely on the story and it's characters, it's actually a sci-fi movie that intends on telling you a good sci-fi story and for me it succeeds. If only they could get more money and resources to do it, this could easily surpass any of the Hollywood crap i've seen lately. As an invasion-alien movie it's somewhat average, as a solid sci-fi with a good mix of action and drama, this movie excels.Thumbs up for the solid acting, the nice story that stays with you after you finish watching it and for the imaginative script, I'm actually looking forward to the next movie, which I'm sure it can be a success if they're allowed to make it.People, stop reading numbers, just watch this movie, you won't regret it, except if you like stupid movies that depend on incredible CGI and dumb plots.Congrats for the accomplishment.

Alien Outpost at it's core is a faux-documentary military film. Taking place after the human race has defeated an armada of alien invaders, the action follows a group of young soldiers being transferred to a remote outpost to eradicate the leftover aliens (Heavies in the film) who were abandoned on Earth.Easy. Starship Troopers (1997) with a dab of District 9 (2009), right? Kinda. Minus a steady barrage of special effects, which some might see as boring, but don't forget, it worked in Jaws (1975). Now, to compare this film to so many others may be excessive, but the reason is not without point. In feel, it has the earmarks of other alien/action flicks. Though the message may have been missed by the spectacle.
