masonh928 this is a sequel to the original version(agent Cody banks). this is great for children 5-8to 9 I very much recommend for children those age frames, then again i don't recommend for older teens 12+.your older teens might not enjoy as much .older teens will start wanting to watch horror movies and movies with more mature content. This movie has some fight scenes ,but no blood or gore. age appropriate for 5+.This will probably excite your child with the cool spy gadgets and toys. overall this shows great for kids not so great for your older teens. It doesn't have the punch to be a thriller. I suggest watching with your child if you do decide to watch...
TheLittleSongbird Right, first things first, I enjoyed the first Agent Cody Banks movie, While silly and predictable, it was fun, entertaining and endearing. This sequel tries hard, but it could have been so much better. It does have redeeming qualities, such as the soundtrack, Hannah Spearitt in a chirpy performance as Cody's Scotland Yard counterpart and some cool stunts and action sequences. However, I really didn't care for the plot, not only was it predictable and lame but it took a while to get going. Then there was a weak script, that was filled to the brim with low-level humour and numerous clichés. To Paul Kaye's eccentric inventor and Mark William's police inspector, the film sometimes borders on being too stereotypical. The acting was okay at best, Frankie Muniz does his best reprising his cheeky and charming persona that he brought to the first movie, but let's face it, he was getting too old for the part. Anthony Anderson tries hard, but the humour here is so juvenile and generic that he can't do anything with it. The same goes with Anna Chancellor and Keith Allen, two very competent actors, but the weak material disallowed them to do anything worthwhile, so it was a waste of talent in the end. James Faulkner was merely okay, but he has been much better. The film also goes on for too long too, and further suffers from uneven pacing. All in all, a sequel that had potential, but falls surprisingly flat. 4/10 Bethany Cox
disdressed12 talk about disappointing.this sequel has none of the heart of the original.the first one was silly, but at least it had a semblance of story, and the laughs were honest.here,it's all about the cheap laughs.this movie is slow and boring, with a lame story.if it didn't go direct to video,it should have.Anthony Anderson is in this one,and he can usually be counted on for some good laughs, but he has nothing to work with here.this is case where they should just have stuck with the original,or at least put some more thought into the sequel.it feels rushed, but then it was, considering it came out merely a year later than the first one.Agent Cody Banks 2:Destination London gets a 4/10 from me.
MLDinTN The plot for Cody Banks 2 was so bland and dull and silly. But considering this is geared toward 12 year olds, I don't expect it to have the plot of A Beautiful Mind. But what I do expect is some imagination and funny jokes. I mean, one of the gags in this film was an attacking Beanie Baby, very silly. In this film Cody is at an undercover spy camp. The leader at the camp turns bad and steals some computer disks that can be used for mind control. So, Cody is sent to London to track him down and the scientist who plans on using mind control. His undercover act is to be a musical prodigy. The husband of the lady who runs the music school is the scientist. He also has a couple of agents who act a bit silly to help him out.I also have to comment on the ending at Buckingham Palace. It lasted way too long and was just so dull. I just don't get how a script like this could have been given the green light.FINAL VERDICT: Not as good as the first. Not very fun. Maybe a 10 or 12 year old may like it, but if you are older than that, I wouldn't waste my time with this.
