Greg Evigan will always be the dude from "BJ and the Bear". That was a TV series that was a ripoff of "Smokey and the Bandit". His TV Legacy continued with the "My Two Dads". Not exactly the best television shows ever made. If those shows were not bad enough he was able to get his daughters Vanessa and Briana in the business. Luckily in this film we get the more talented daughter Briana but they should of cast Vanessa. In this film a Hollywood film comes to a small town and the big star of the film sweeps a local baker off her feet. Then when things start moving along the movie stars ex-girlfriend gets cast in his film and she is out to get him back at any cost. One major gripe I also have about this film is the fact it is not really "A Christmas Theme" film. I have a feeling it wasn't originally set during the holidays. There is no "Christmas Feeling" at all to this production. There is plenty of things to like about this film however the last 20 minutes and the final scene is stupid. Briana is great but she deserves a better role. If your looking forward to watching a "Christmas Theme" film skip this . If you are looking for something good skip this. CSPAN has more more entering moments than this film

Watching this movie was like driving past a car crash. I didn't want to look away even though it was bad. While the premise was promising (Yes, I noticed the Notting Hill plot), the writing was sub par, the acting okay, and the chemistry between the two leads non-existent. The ending was also weird. I know it was a romantic comedy so it's supposed to have a "happily ever after", but the writers just completely rushed it, and got rid of the main antagonist but having her magically pair off with Cassie's strange brother. Disappointed. They could have done better. 1.5 hours of my life I'll never get back.

Seemed like a good idea and plot!. I was looking forward to another great Christmas Romance. I Love watching all the ION as well as competing networks Christmas movies, unfortunately there is Zero chemistry between Cassy and Alex. The actor who played Alex is perfect for the part but the actress who played Cassie, in my opinion, was A poor choice. The actress who played Trish (Cassie's friend) would have been a better choice for the role of Cassie. It was kinda like watching a train wreak and unbelievable that Alex would be attracted to Cassie. A Christmas Srar is not one I will be recommending to family or friends. Nor will it be on my yearly "must watch list".

My wife and I settled in to an evening of watching holiday movies on the ION network and this one came on. It was filmed in several southern California locations, approximating a small town setting.Cute Briana Evigan, about 25 during filming, is Cassie who owns a cupcake shop in town. All the locals know she makes the best cupcakes ever, but unexpectedly a couple of strangers come in and they are impressed also. So impressed that they want her to supply their crew with her baked goods while they are in town filming a Christmas-themed movie. One of the guys, and the star of the action movie, is Corey Sevier as Alex. Cassie and her friend are so small-town that they didn't at first realize he was a popular movie star. But gradually Cassie and Alex fall for each other. The budding romance is complicated by two things ... Cassie's old boyfriend, with whom she has joint custody of their dog, is trying to get back together with her. Also, Alex's former girlfriend, who is in the movie they are filming, is trying to get back with him. Both of these issues, plus Cassie's small-town sensibilities, cause a number of fits and starts, but we all know how it will turn out in the end! A pleasant rom-com, particularly for Briana Evigan who is as cute and perky as can be.
