megansue This film told a great story. It is full of comedic quirks. That being said, it is certainly not short on tenderness or meaning. The overwhelming take-away message is that love (both canine and human) is the central drive in life. There is a great feeling of hope as the film progresses, especially as the audience witnesses Chelsea's (the dog's) therapeutic gift with all people. Chelsea's relationship with her owner Gayle is also a treat to observe. I love that this story is about real people and their pets. The film has a fearlessness about it in its humor and its truthfulness. Check it out!
onlywiretracking After just one viewing, this instantly became one of my favorite movies for several reasons: First, it's a very sweet story about a woman and her dog. It's light, it's fun and it shows how much one woman can love her dog. It's a downright feel good movie. If you have a dog, you'll love it even more. If you don't, you'll realize what you're missing.Second, Gayle's efforts in putting this movie together, getting it distributed, gathering support, etc. virtually on her own, are incredibly motivating.Third, Gayle's confidence and go-for-it attitude all through the movie are so inspiring.Helen Keller said: "Life is a daring adventure or it's nothing at all." Gayle is the embodiment of that quote and her movie is proof of that.I read the negative comments about this movie. I can't figure out what these people are talking about. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but these are so extreme I wonder what the motivation for posting them would have been.If you want a sweet story about a woman and her dog, put together by a lone dog lover, not a big studio, I recommend this one so highly. And my bet is that the last few minutes of this film will bring you some of the biggest smiles. They did for me.As a disclaimer, I have no business or personal relationship with Gayle aside from letting her know how much I love her movie.
yngsong-114-254624 I train dogs and own dogs so I expected to love this. But this was 33 minutes of my life that I will never get back... it was just a story of a crazy dog lady who had way too much time on her hands and enough money to produce a video showcasing this fact.It was a great concept, finding love as a single dog owner. But not as a CRAZY dog owner who is as self absorbed and insane about her dog as she appeared in the movie. The dogs were giving off several stress signals throughout(looking away, yawning). I just felt bad for them and wished they were allowed to just be dogs.Seriously, pass this one by.
LeonardMaltinsBalls this is awful. not even like Plan 9 awful.the narrating is arrogant and self-righteous. the subject matter is just plain ridiculous. and essentially the movie seems to have Absolutely NOTHING TO SAY.it's a fantastic study on who is able to make movies these days; you don't need a voice or heart anymore - you just have to have money, connections, and a sense of entitlement.someone, for the love of "film" and "cinema", pick this up with a plastic bag on the sidewalk and throw it in the garbage can around the corner.
