Most of the time I had no idea what was going on. The universe this movie creates makes no sense at all, and for the first 30 minutes or so, absolutely nothing happens. When we have the encounters between the good angels and the bad angels, I'm not sure if they're doing astral projection or what is going on, because nothing is ever explained. There are two somewhat redeeming features to this movie: First, the way the girl finally uses her power to defeat the bad guy. That was awesome. Second, Greg Mazzola's eyebrows are absolutely epic. His over-expressive method acting is hilarious, but it wouldn't be half as entertaining without those eyebrows. But even with epic eyebrows, I can't even call this one a guilty pleasure. It's just dull. It goes nowhere, the story makes no sense, and it was clearly shot on a shoestring, with pretty much no budget at all for effects. The acting is amateurish and the camera work is even worse. Don't bother with this one unless you're planning to riff it. Even then, think twice.

Rented this at a Hollywood Video years ago when Video Stores still existed. I picked it up because the cover art looked really cool. Angels with guns, looked interesting. Popped the DVD in, and realized the cover art was a lie, looked nothing like they advertised. Thought it was going to be a high budget fantasy action film, instead it is an extreme Micro-Budget film. The actors looked like they were casted based on their looks, not their acting. The whole movie is filmed 4:3 not 16:9 with what looks like a camera anyone could get at Wal-Mart. Fight scenes have horrible choreography, looked like they were going for a Matrix like look and failed. The gun fights are terrible, over acting the recoil, and there is no gun blast effects so it looks like they are just shaking the guns. There is nudity in it so the movie will still sell to the lowest common denominator. Movie ends on a sequel that will never happen. The story on the other hand is really good and original. 3 good angels and 3 bad ones fighting for eternity in the battle for good and evil. One of the angels figures out how to break the cycle and shift it so evil can have the advantage. If only this film had anywhere between $30-$100 million budget, it could have been a classic fantasy action film.

I caught this flick via Netflix and found it kinda cool. I wish they had a bigger budget to do the storyline justice. But overall I enjoyed it. The story was good and would compete with anything out in the theaters right now. If anything maybe it's too smart for the average moviegoer. The acting was at times pushed, although in the slower scenes it flowed fine. I liked the idea that these angels didn't have the traditional wings and weren't all wholesome. The characters felt more human because they had to deal with their dread of being a member of this angel circle. I would recommend it for those looking for a smart, inventive movie on a tight budget. Cheers

This movie is very sad, it is meant in the sense of lousy. It is a total waste of money and time. I had a hard time watching the whole movie, but was determined to get my monies worth out of it. It is an hour and a half too long. This movie looks as if it was shot by amateurs who tried to make a feature length film only to fail. The acting is very poor. The fight scenes are some of the lamest that I have ever seen and they will have you laughing. Having said all this there is one good point: there are 2 scenes where Stiga is nude. The story could have been developed a lot better and the fight scenes should have been more realistic. There are quite a few more things I could say about this movie, but why add insult to injury?
