Arjun Prasad With chart buster soundtrack and trend setting direction, this is the best vigilante movie made in south India.Although violent a bit, this movie still has it's meaning. It's sequels were bad, yes.Believe me when I tell you this movie was made on a budget of 4 million and it went on to make 3crores.It wasn't just the storyline.Direction,Jassie Gift, violence and everything about this movie stands up to the hype.In fact I'm amazed how this movie only has a rating of 5.5.I guarantee you that this is one of the best. Why else would I write after about 10 years of its release?. The movie still has its meaning. This is like a Christopher Nolan movie in Malayalam.
adityakmr93 Now heres a movie which has something new and fresh in it. 4 the people is a story about 4 college students who are vigilantes against corrupt and unjust officials of the government. The reason for the 4 students to turn into masked crime fighters is because all the four students hail from a family with tragic backgrounds. the work done by ensemble makes the movie watchable and interesting . the climax is really a surprise which does not disappoint the viewers. catch this movie only if you like movies with lateral ideas or else you can trash it and go for the usual Malayalam movies with slapstick humor and useless violence.
modistreet This movie sucks big time. The direction is amateurish and the acting awful, and that's putting it mildly. It's like getting cardboard pieces to act. I have seen people in home videos with better expressions. Nevertheless the torture doesn't end there. There were rap songs that intermittently peppered the movie. Completely out of place, much like Veda sambhar in a Chinese restaurant.I guess he used the music as fillers in the movie.I hope Mr.Jayaraj the director, has an alternate career in mind as direction doesn't seem to be his cup of tea. In fact I believe film institutes that teach the finer aspects of film making must showcase this movie to show budding directors as what not to do in a film. The characters walked around like zombies with no emotion or facial expressions.Recommendation is to avoid "4 the People" at all cost as it is a criminal waste of anybody's time to watch this movie. Malyalam movies have an enviable track record of producing the most realistic and heart tugging movies in India, but movies such as this is an embarrassment to the entire film industry
redjay_425 Overall the movie was OK. My Favorite part was the end when all the criminals died but the 4 new people came and took their place that just increased the movies rating by a lot. The whole girl character is useless because of the way she is finished off at the end, they just stop showing her. I really hate the guy who plays the police character. Also the part where the mans hand is cut off is really wrong. I'm Indian and since this is a Malyalam/Indian movie I'm going to rate it into an American rating: pg-13! It could b R but i don't know for sure. Overall i recommend this movie 4 guys and girls who like spy/bloody movies.
