4.3.2.1 seems to think it's a hip, fresh, non-linear Brit crime thriller, a work of originality and verve. After all, the man behind it is Noel Clarke, who in KIDULTHOOD and ADULTHOOD made a pair of decent and modern urban dramas. Sadly, everything about this movie is a huge mistake, and it ends up as an extraordinarily superficial copy of Tarantino's masterwork PULP FICTION.The major problems with this film are the story and script, which both go nowhere. The "leads" are a group of dim, twentysomething girls living in London, their stories told individually and linking up at various points. Sexual exploitation, robbery, lesbianism and family drama are some of the topics covered, but they're all handled in the most mundane and unengaging way imaginable. It doesn't help that the characters are puerile, obsessed with the shallow pursuit of pleasure and thus giving the viewer no reason to get behind them. There's an unwelcome whiff of exploitation to the proceedings with one character (Shanika Warren-Markland) forced to spend the majority of her screen time in her underwear. The performances are terrible, particularly from the ultra-grating Emma Roberts (an actress who only exists thanks to nepotism) and the aforementioned Warren-Markland, although CAMELOT's Tamsin Egerton isn't much better. The format is peppered with more seasoned actors like Sean Pertwee and Kevin Smith, but they also ring hollow thanks to the moronic dialogue they're handed out. 4.3.2.1 truly is a stupid and offensively crass piece of movie-making.

I've not watched Adulthood or Kidulthood so perhaps I might have missed out on some background information on this film, but I thought this was a load of rubbish. There are some scenes that so disbelieving that there was no way I could take this film seriously. For example there was a scene where one of the main female character was upset for some reason decided to sit on the ground huddled up next to an empty bench. Then two guys come and sit on the bench talking about a crime unaware that she's is there. No they didn't have white sticks either. Then while into the midst of their sensitive conversation, oh look, they 'suddenly' spot the girl even though she's only about a metre away! Then question and chase after her, didn't catch her even though it was two tall men and one upset girl with big coat and bag! The main part of this storyline is some stolen diamonds. So where and how do they get these stolen diamonds? Outside Westfields where a guy hands a bag of them to one 'badguy1' to which badguy1 then slowly examines one of the diamonds by holding up to the light in broad daylight..... outside the busy Westfields..... in front of all the shoppers and the four girls there.... stolen diamonds..... I got up to 20 minutes of the DVD and couldn't take anymore. Everyone tries too hard, so I guess this was an instruction from the producers or writers of this script than poor acting. It felt like an Eastenders version of Sex of the City with some over hyped view of 'estate ganstas'.

I had high expectations for this film as I had wanted to see it for ages, and today I finally got round to it. It had a good story-line and some very good actors Roberts and Clarke to name a couple. I thought it was fast paced and kept you wanting to know how all the stories were linked together (which in itself I thought was a good idea.) It had less action and suspense than I was hoping for but I wasn't disappointed by their efforts. I did enjoy it but it wasn't as good as I would have wanted it to be. Overall I would say that 4.3.2.1 is a very good film with some good actors and good story-line. I would rate it 8.5/10 and say that it is suitable for anyone mature 13+.

Hmm I don't know if this those actually contain spoilers but just to be on the safe side I'll say it MAY contain slight spoilers. For those of you who have not watched this movie and are excited about it and also enjoyed Noel Clarkes brilliant movies Kidulthood and Adulthood then all I have to say is Very and Unfortuantly Disappointing.I don't want to make a massive review so here is my opinion short and sweet. The acting no where near remarkable and in some cases I found myself embarrassed for some actors/actress's. Noel Clarke, Adam Deacon are just as brilliant as they were in the 'Hood' movies even though they had much shorter roles. The film was focused on the 4 girls (hence the title). The acting by these four (in my opinion) was sometimes very bad. The lesbian/wannabe Lara Croft character (whoever played her) acted bad.Aside from the on and mainly off acting, the script was also very bad. Sometimes I didn't even understand why certain scenes had any relevance to the story but then I realised the whole story/plot is pretty random. The story is about four girls and there very random messed up three days and this big diamond heist is just something along the side of it (which is a shame). So if your expecting the storyline to be centred on the diamond heist then you may be disappointed when you see yourself watching lesbians having sex while swallowing jelly Viagra. The good points however are that the directing is good, cinematography is good and there are a few funny parts in the movie. Now before I end my review on this movie I would just like to state why I reviewed this movie and that is because a lot of people have said it's similar to Pulp Fiction. SERIOUSLY? It's nothing like it, yes the stories of girls play one at a time and then after one of the girls story is over the film will rewind back to the starting point of another girls story (it'll make more sense when you watch it). But this those not make it similar to the masterpiece Pulp Fiction. Overall the film is pretty poor, It took me a while to decide if the movie deserved a 3/10 but it didn't. It is not as good as Kidulthood and adulthood at all.Excuse my bad grammar or spelling if there is any.
