Adrian Ortega is an award-winning narrative and documentary filmmaker. His first 2 short documentaries Bodycrash and Modus Operandi were met with critical acclaim and massive media attention from Junkee (inthemix.com channel), Vice (Thump channel), as well as being featured in articles by The Daily Mail U.K. and Channel 10 News. His third documentary short They Call Me Spiderman was part of the Official Selection at The St. Kilda Film Festival in 2016. Ortega’s debut feature film Cerulean Blue premiered to sold out crowds at the 68th Melbourne International Film Festival and won the El Rey Award for Excellence in Film Directing at the Barcelona International Film Festival. It’s currently streaming on Stan in Australia and Amazon Prime in the US and UK. In 2016, Ortega created Proud Wing Films, a production company to focus on bringing new stories (both short and feature length) and new voices to Australian cinema.
