Biography

Soad Hosny (1943 - 2001) was an Egyptian actress. Known in the Arab world as the 'Cinderella of Egyptian cinema', Hosny ranked second in the Egyptian poll for best actress of the 20th century and appeared in no less than eight movies listed in the 'Top 100 of Egyptian films', compiled in 1996 in celebration of the centenary of Egyptian cinema.
